The truth about mercury fillings 💣
Mercury is a known toxic substance, and exposure to high levels of mercury can be harmful to human health. It’s actually the most toxic, non-radioactive element know to men.
While dental amalgam fillings contain a mixture of metals, with mercury making up about 50% of the mixture, the concern is that small amounts of mercury vapor can be released over time, posing potential health risks associated with chronic, low-level exposure to the vapor.
If you’ve already got mercury fillings done, it’s important to consider getting them removed by someone who is skilled at this work. Do NOT just take them out - the dentist must be trained in removing them safely.
