I have a 650hp roushcharged f150 and this video helped but I'd really like to shut it off even after 30. As my truck trys to spin tires at almost any speed and it limits me from really getting any power down.

Just purchased a used 12 Raptor. While checking out all of the features I noticed my traction control didn’t work ( push button does nothing). I appreciate you explaining this so I can verify if this is why or I have another issue.

Another thing I'd check is the fuse for traction control. I've heard of guys pulling those aswell. I didn't even think about someone buying a truck with it already disabled 😁

@@HitchinMitch hey if you pop the hood and go to the fuse panel it will be the 60qmp fuse labeled number 47
@Reggiestreet Жыл бұрын
It’s not necessary to remove any fuse in a raptor once placed in off-road mode and traction control, and stability control is off. It remains off all the way off to the vehicles. TopSpeed, even the rear diff will remain locked all the way to the vehicles top speed on the raptor, while an off-road mode.

How does the button come out? I'm replacing my entire bezel with a good used one cause my climate control buttons are junk but it doesn't have the trac control button. Gonna use mine but can't get it out.

I don’t have a button in my truck and I don’t know how to turn it off permanently I think I need to get under the dash to take it out

That's weird, should be in the same location as mine if you got the same generation.

@HitchinMitch4 жыл бұрын
@@jjmelchor5499 I don't believe your year truck has traction control. My 07 Ranger didn't have it, so I doubt an older f150 has.

Do you have a spreadsheet that will work on a 2007 expedition? I was able to delete my air ride with forscan, and I would like to do more customization. I hate traction control too! ABS - Meh Thanks!

Traction control almost put me over a cliff one time. When all I needed to do was throttle slightly through a corner. Instead I couldn't use my throttle and almost slid over a bank. Like I was drivin a subaru STI. The cars made for that. To be fair the car did have a feature where you could hold down the TC off button which fully turns it off but wasn't thinking about it at the time. I hate how my truck now I can "turn it off" but it doesn't fully shut it off

For offroading. Traction control is very useful. You'd be an idiot for removing traction control. Unless you weld your diff or you got a locker.
@HitchinMitch3 жыл бұрын
I always turn it off when offroading. The truck will automatically turn it off when you engage 4low, so I'll have to debate and say it actually hurts you while offroading. You don't want your vehicle to cut power when you need it to get out of a tight spot. My truck also is equiped with the electronic locker same as the fx4 and raptors have.
@meateaterwhitetail72913 жыл бұрын
@@HitchinMitch It really depends on the terrain obstacle... I own a 1st gen lifted fwd highlander wrapped with 265/70/16 bfg km3 m/t. I don't have lsd or lockers. I don't have 4wd either... On traction control 95% of the time. On steep gravel/dirt hill climbs, mild mud and mild snow at 20psi. Its been very useful for me. It's similar to a limited slip. The only issue I have with traction control is when I'm in very nasty mud and deep snow is due to a lack of momentum and the abs stopping it.. I'll back up, turn off the traction control and hit auto 2nd gear and gun my way out with ease. You just need to play around with the traction control. That's just my preference.
