[REMOVED] Vintage Montgomery Double-File Escalators - Burlington, Westgate Center - San Jose, CA

Unfortunately, I took too long to get over to this mall. These are some neat old Montgomery escalators that I wanted to see. They were very classy and cool-looking (look up videos of them on KZfaq). By the time I got here, they were in the process of being ripped out. I'm not sure if they are being replaced with new escalators or if the mall is just opting to not install any escalators at all and just put in stairs. Either way, fat rip.

I was just there last night, they used to have stairs by the escalator but they're gone now. Maybe the stairs were just temporary while the escalator was being replaced. Burlington is actually closing on Friday! Everything is 20% off, all sales final. Not a whole lot left. Mostly clothes. Super bummer, I used to like shopping there but have only been back one other time since lockdown in 2020. Half the store was closed off back then, many of their departments were a lot smaller. So sad!

@@TheEscalatorChannel1 It's not like they removed them permanently and decided not to Install new ones, but actually the old parts from the Montgomery escalators were probably worn out and was hard to find replacement parts.

@@hotwheelscarstracksracing6576 No, it was a possibility that they weren't going to install new ones. I've seen a few cases where escalators were removed and replaced with stairs
