It has bothered me that it's taken this long to get around to having a peek behind the sprocket cover. I knew it was going to be caked in years of built up chain lube...I'm definitely going to be cleaning this more regularly! There is a lot of grime still kicking around in there, but it is a bit better. Thank the great spaghetti monster in the sky for Swarfega Jizer!

thanks lol - I know right! The chain did last ages, but I do ride like an old man, which probably helps 🤓

Hi Tomáš - yeah it was a state, ha! The tyres are Dunlop Mutants, I'd definitely recommend them! - www.dunlop.eu/en_gb/motorcycle/tires/mutant--mutant.html

Mine was a lot worse than that. I also noticed my seal guard was very worn and I had to replace that. Make sure you check that as well.

@@thebikenoob I just bought my bike and after a week or so I noticed the chain wasn't running smooth. So I removed that front sprocket and it was PACKED with rocks, dirt and grease... It was difficult to remove the sprocket because of how full it was 😂 I don't think the previous owner ever cleaned it...

Sounds about right! Any more used bikes I buy in future, this is number one on the things to check!

How did you remeber the angle tu put back shifter after?

I just eyeballed it - you can always mark it with a thin white pen to make sure you get it on the same spline when you put it back on. Felt right when I was riding, so all good. You can always adjust it depending on where you prefer your gear pedal to sit, either higher or lower. Perhaps I'll make a video on adjusting controls at some point...

Hi! I can't find the size of those cover bolts anywhere, could you tell me or either guide me to a place where all the bolt sizes are mentioned 😅 Thanks!

Hey - sorry I've only just clocked your message! The OEM part number is 90110-06395, hopefully that helps! If I get a chance to measure them I'll bung you the info

What did you use to clean it? Some kind of degreaser?

Weren't you supposed to locktite those bolts?
@thebikenoob
@thebikenoob Жыл бұрын
The manual doesn't mention it, and there didn't seem to be any factory loctite so I didn't apply any. Probably not a bad idea!

You've never changed your chain and sprocket in 5 years?
@thebikenoob
@thebikenoob Жыл бұрын
no! I don't ride particularly hard, adjusted the chain when needed and the teeth aren't hooked or damaged. Just changed the chain the other day, sprockets still look fine, ha
