I thought the whole idea of an artificial lawn was that you wouldn't be bothered with weeds

Sue Davies the main reason people go for it is the convenience of not having to mow it, but anyone who thinks it’s zero maintenance are misled, the silica sand used to weigh it down at the end will attract weeds so a general weed killer once or twice a year will keep on top of it

I think it is kind of true, I have artificial lawn and I have to remove like 5 weeds on it. Before I probably have to pull more than 50 weeds...

Use a bit of vinegar and dish soap in a sprayer. Not only safer than weed killer but will also clean the turf and kill the weeds

I have quite a few weeds in my lawn right now that I really can't get to really can't get too because I've been very ill for the last couple months. Can you spray Roundup weed killer on the weeds?

I have a bad problem of quackgrass that completely took over my artificial turf and don’t know to remove it properly

I have used weed killer , as no real grass to kill. But yes I have had problem with weeds.

I use a fork on my real lawn. Good to know it will notnlose its job on my backyard artificial lawn plan

That is probably the worst advise you will ever hear. Never pierce the grass membrane.

We're talking artificial grass here. The only membrane present is the weed barrier beneath the grass. Tell us your methods, we'd love to hear.

Bella Turf Ok , should have said weed membrane which i have fitted . Still a bad idea to pierce through this though. A good weed killer ( suitable for artificial grass ) best , making sure you brush off dead matter when weed killer has done its work.
