This is our DIY for removing your rear bumper diffuser. A lot of people are scared to take this job on, but it should take you less than 30 minutes including putting your car on jack stands. It is really easy to do. It was done on our 2013 A6 Prestige with the S-line rear bumper, but it should be extremely similar for all C7 models. As always, volume up so you can hear me guide you through the DIY.
You will only need some pry tools, a T15 & T20 Torx bit, and a light. That's it.
This should allow you to replace your rear diffuser with an aftermarket diffuser, or it will come in handy if you are installing a new exhaust. We had to remove it in order to install our OEM S6 diffuser to fit our quad tips on our new Cende Exhaust, and we had to have it off to run the wiring harnesses to each valvetronic muffler.
