Took just 10 days from the idea to cover the songs to this completed recording. The recording itself took less than 2 hours - the time limit they had to borrow the corner of that pub in Brighton. Shout out to Kai on bass, and the backing singers Sylvia Mwenze and Scarlett Fae - great job !

I can definitely see Ren doing a version of No Quarter--mystical sounding, Lord of the Rings references (sort of), lots of musical changes. Has REN written all over it.

I had the amazing pleasure of seeing romain axisa from the big push last week in Brighton. His support act was Scarlet Fea one of the backing singers on this track. Beleive me when I say that she is one to watch out for Her voice is sensational! Had a few days in Brighton and did a bit of a tour of the locations for some of Ren's videos. It was an amazing experience. Everyone at romaims gig were super friendly. Scartel herself spoke to us and gave us a hug. 😊 romain also so friendly and I even spoke to Goran from the big push who was in audience. I can't tell you how those in rens circle are all just so kind and caring. This track gives me chills and now I've met scarlet makes me feel I was in the presence of super talented, very special people. It was just a shame Ren wasn't there. 😮

Sting would need to approve of Ren using his song and he will want to get paid 💲. Sting is actually taking diddy to court for using parts of his music in the diddy tracks. Wonder how that turned out, 🤔 diddy has some big fines to pay and then some. Ren did it for his fans entertainment, he isn't making any profit from sales. Ren paid a chunk to the Vera Hall family/rep for the rights to use her song in a part of his song "Troubles".

The location is called Bar Valentino--a 1920's decor--in Brighton I believe. The musical composition evokes soul in my view. I first thought of Soul Train and Midnight Express when I saw this.

Wow, you have a great voice, and it mixes perfectly with Ren's! I'm hearing a Rosalie/Ren collab in the future! This is one of my favorite recent Ren songs, along with his heart-wrenching Fred Again mashup. Scarlett Fae, the tall singer, has her own music channel that's also worth checking out.

This has to be my favorite Ren song ever even though it's a cover. He has so many originals that are amazing but it's just so soulful and it gives those good goosebumps all the way through. Knew you would love it when I saw that you'd reacted. 💜💜 I rewatched your react immediately again after, it made me feel so good. Ren In my decades, he is easily one of the most versatile artists I've ever seen/heard ... NOBODY I can compare him with in his catalogue... and the man is so not done. I love that he covered The Police. Obviously he has that Marley/Sting Reggae feel across other songs.. but Sting himself is one of the greatest lyricists and his transition from The Police to his solo career to writing a Broadway musical... Crazy runs and harmonies, filthy bars to remind us that he is also still a cheeky boi, and that voice that’s perfect for Sting/The Police songs. The acoustic performance by Ren makes this an outstanding, stand alone, piece of art. Your face likely looked similar to mine watching this 😂 Lots i could comment on, but i probably was most enjoying his vocal gymnastics in this one. Went through multiple ranges, and sounds, all of course, executed quite impressively. Concept was fun too, the Jungle original was more about an imaginary place, Ren changed it to an imaginary time, with a 70s motown type vibe. Message in a bottle was also released in '79. Thanks for the video, you look great ❤

Usually, my favorite song from Ren is whatever he uploaded last. Not so with this track! It has easily stayed at the top of my Ren playlist. I love everything about it.
