Great reaction as always! The line “some people know me as the voice you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope” is one of my favourite lines ever, and tugs at those heart strings

Agreed / and I didn’t pick up on it the first few times I listened as I was hit by the line “some people know me as hope” just before it and I couldn’t process my thoughts and feelings quick enough to really even hear the “voice that you hear when you loosen the nose on the rope” line so I’m always impressed when people get it.

-Loved how you mentioned how he broke the fourth wall twice in the same music video. I find that he takes a jackhammer to the 4th wall every single time. Whether he's singing about deep issues or just doing something for fun (and sometimes both elements are in the same video) his music has a way of connecting to everyone who hears it.

I cannot wait till you dive even deeper and discover just how Deep Ren is in regards to talent and the Rabbit Hole in which he enables us to travel. Hi-Ren, The Tale of Jenny and Screetch, along with the Money Game Trilogy are what Ren himself has referred to as "Bardcore"...Much like the Bards of Yore, the storyteller, performer and keeper of lore. Thanks BM: I really enjoy the authenticity and pathos of your Ren reactions. Can I suggest (and I mean this with kindness) that you look into the technical reasons for the distortion or clipping that is happening with the artist audio track? Your work is excellent, and deserves to be enjoyed without the distraction of the degraded original audio. Somebody smarter than me in the comments might have ideas or suggestions. More please BM!

I’ve commented - from what I hear, it’s possibly an issue with his mic not the video audio - but it could be both now I listen again. If it is affecting the video audio then it’s probably a processing speed issue - maybe trying to do more than the CPU can cope with while capturing things (multiple video effects all at once could do that) but I think he’s editing the video after the fact so I favour it being the mic that’s causing the issues as it’s definitely boosting the gain automatically when he’s not speaking as you hear the room ambiance get louder and that’s when the clicks and pops happen too (but it’s also when the video isn’t playing so…hard to be 100% just from listening).

Now you’ve seen his bard takes or his bardcore (as ren calls it) now you need to check out his Bars! The hunger and illest of our time are 2 of the best rap/hip hop tracks I’ve ever heard his wordplay is just brilliant in both of these songs highly recommend doing a reaction to these

Thanks for reacting to this. For me, the reason this story is important is that it shows Ren's empathy to the human condition which he has developed from his hardship. It shows Ren's genius as a story teller and shows his compassion (he composed a musical tragic story to honor the memory of people whose lives are tragically ended). I believe he points out in his "Eden" video how our current system is lacking and that mankind should exercise their gift of Free Will and turn this hell on earth into a better place.

He has several songs adressing his in this video mentioned suffering...actually from lyme decease which he got from being bitten by a tik. Then he got wrongly diagnosed for many years and treated wrongly for a mental health condition for many years which made everything worse physically and mentally. Those songs are for instance "Hold on" from 7 years ago, "Diazepam" from 3 years ago and also "Sick boi" and "7 sins" both are on his current album .... Besides those you have to check out "Money game 1 + 2 as well in order to make the closure of the Money Game Trilogy which you started at the end with part 3...Speaking of Trilogy there is also the trilogy titeled "The Tale of Jenny and Screech (+ Violet´s Tale as closure)" as well which is high level story telling ....I could go on and on with further suggestions but "for the start" those are already more than enough in order to get a real good grasp of Ren´s depth lyric-wise and storytelling-wise and of his musical diversity..

Wonderful reaction. There is so much waiting for you. All of it great. Seven Sins is the most recent song he wrote, but describes the day in 2015 when he fell into psychosis when pain and bitterness pushed him over the edge after yet another treatment caused an immune reaction. It us such a powerful song.

You caught the bar about loosening the noose on the rope more than most. For me it's one of the most impactful bars as I've had that noose around my neck before.

The smazing thing about this video is that its a live performance that was filmed in one take- they only had a limited number of sttempts to get the right take because they filmed at the location without permission & got caught but managed to convince the owner to give them a half an hour to record the video....

Catching your Ren reactions - quick comment while I listen, you are probably already aware but in case you have missed it somehow, and need some pointers - you have a sound distortion issue, a crackle that I think is only affecting your audio, not the video audio, so I assume it’s an issue with your mic set up (which is also picking up a LOT of ambient room noise, like the gain is set really high and it’s not a directional mic). I think it might be some contact happening with the mic while you are moving about - and you may have an auto gain that’s hunting to pick something up when you are not talking and so it pushes the gain higher. It’s still listenable, but is irritating.

If you do Jenny and Screech PLEASE make sure you do The Tales FULL version. It includes Jenny, Screech and Violet. Please do not do them separately. Or out of order. Also to hear him open up, he sang with The Big Push. Try I Shot the Sheriff. BUT please do the version the includes Road to Zion and Hip Hop and he is wearing red suspenders. Love your reactions, you seem to genuinely love Ren. I will agree that some of the technical issues are a bit distracting but not enough for me not to watch.
