it’s rather lame and super corny to lift someone up and compliment them in a diss record. It goes against unwritten diss record rules. MGK did this to Eminem and we all laughed at him for it. So why is it cool if ren does it? I mean he friggin apologized to him mid verse 🤦‍♂️

@@chrislandrum4032I think the point wasn't really to be a diss record though. I think he set it up to be like one, but the flip was the point where he basically dipped his toes into being a rapper like the other guy's world as he put it, shows he could do it if he wanted to, but then he moves to his world he basically lays out he doesn't have any interest in doing it. It's sort of like someone calling you out to fight, and you knock them down several times easily without actually hurting them and then offering to buy them a drink because you really don't want to fight. It's kind of a humbling flex how he did it and can't even keep a straight face and how little effort he put into it. Kind of makes me wonder what would happened if he actually did get mad enough to make a real one

IMO Ren was very tolerant of D. We all know that he could have gone a lot harder but he said it himself that he wasn’t a battle rapper but he stood tall. I think he saw Knox Hill take him down and throw is but in a grave so he took a different approach. He let him know he was not to be messed with and he genuinely wanted him to be a better person. This was my first listen to this response and this guy. You can tell what Ren is about as far as his moral compass by his lyrics. This is by far the deepest rebuttal to a diss response I’ve ever heard. An instrumental would be a disservice to the poetry we were so eloquently allowed to hear. Love you all.

I love this!! And i love you as a reactor. You are a wholesome human being. You and Ren both! Michelle show deserved that 100 percent. I watched a video he did of The Hunger and he was so mean and cruel to Ren. He didnt just diss the lyrics, he went in on his looks, his voice, and everything! He is not a very nice person. I was wondering what Ren was going to do. Knox didn't leave much on the table...hell, he didn't even leave the table! But this was cool. A Capella, just pure words. And then throwing it to Dotta at the end to rise up and be a man. To meet him with kindness and encourage him to raise himself and up his game. That's brilliant. If Dotta would come on and just admit that he lost, he could salvage a little dignity. But completely MIA? SMH It is what it is. Ren manned up and showed love when he had no reason to. Good on him.

Still waiting for Em to react, bc we know these things for sure: 1, Em is keep his fingor on the pulse, you can bet he know Ren's music. 2, Em does have a hard time, he paved the road for guys like Ren, NF and so on and the road that you can rap about hc personal stuff; it helps other people in the same shoe and also, give him crdeit, what you can not take away. 3, Em is in a tuff place, bc as hc Em fan I admit Ren is the full on mode. Playing instruments (really good) can fast rap, can sing like an angel and a sinner and he is his prime age, when you are the fastest, the best version of you in stamina. Em tell him self many time he can't not hold the mic and put it down. Ren is a different beast. Nobody (clearly Ren, NF others too) will say and mean it, there is only one God in the game. But also have to admit, this guy is really close if he can do this quality for another 15-20 years (I don' know his health will hold on). If it is about legend, who change'd the game for ever and did already what probably nobody else will (sales, records, awards) Eminem is the lyrical goat, the flow goat, the one who always pays his homage. I really hope one day we will get a Em and Ren feat soon, bc Em is over 50, he got not much time left to perform live his speed. I had a thought in the back of my mind that Ren would do something different that is more in his pocket. He's not a battle rapper, so he had to play to his strengths. Bars delivered, but then comes differently with no beat, and a somewhat performance delivery. Ren certainly knows and understands oldschool battle rap, and everything that comes from that. So he plays with it, and then flips it on it's head to make the point of what he personally is about. I've seen young battle rappers loose their shit, and go to fists, because it got too personal (usually family), but I have respect for those that go toe to toe; and come out of it with a huge hug and a genuine respect for each other. That is golden.
