Enjoyed your reaction although i had to laugh at the beginning when you said you imagined this wasn't gonna go super deep and I thought "yeah, you're new to Ren" 😆. Good observations as it became clear, particularly your insight about Ren flexing his muscles and acting bragadacious - yeah he knows he's good/great, but he's also incredibly humble and not into all that bling and swag that generally comes with the hip hop scene (so I particularly liked his line about wearing the skins as his bling) and the fact you drew inference from the women crawling after him making him feel uncomfortable- I think that's entirely likely. I feel this track above all others is Ren stepping up to call out what needs changing and is placing himself at the front like the leader of the (wolf) pack- like a tribal Call to Arms - someone in a BP live chat put #RenemyOfTheState and I loved that. When you start digging into Ren's non-musical influences you will see how George Orwell's dystopian novels (1984 and Animal Farm) and Stanley Kubrick's movies (Clockwork Orange and Eyes Wide Shut) are central to this production. In fact, if you look at the writing on the wall in the beginning, that is directly from "Animal Farm" in which the animals rise up and rebel. In the recent Justin Hawkins' interview Ren mentions that his long term goal is to become a movie creator/director/producer/actor. In addition to his musical skills, his production skills are evident in his videos.

As you mentioned, it's hard to get the deeper meaning only being 2 songs into Ren's extensive and diverse catalogue. Ren's lyrics are always metaphorical and often oxymoronic in nature. There's always a deeper meaning under the surface. I would love to hear another follow up reaction as I've noticed other reactors doing more of. Something to think about 🤔❤

I love all of this video and song but one thing i love that doesn't get pointed out much is the use of black/white and light/dark, for example the cat masks and washing machines, the 2 dogs on the stairs or the 2nd lion that jumps out (opposite clothing colours to the Ren king of the jungle). Knowing Ren's art a little, i bet none of it is by accident.
