The title of the song: A lot of people took this to mean "The Greatest Of Our Time". "Look for all the answers that I never seem to find, Till then I guess I'm still the illest of our time." It's my reluctance to be the illest - the clue is in the word 'guess' - I've spent the better part of a decade looking for solutions to the damage Lyme disease dealt with countless doctors visits, and I am still in that boat. "Illest" can also mean "dopest", "best" etc. So it's a bit of a double entendre. Same as "Sick boi". This theme is repeated with the line "elementary dear Watson you might find" because Sherlock Holmes was always searching for the clues to piece the puzzle together, which is very relatable when trying to piece together parts of a very complex health picture, anyone with a very complex illness will relate to almost having to become your own detective. And finally: "A pathologic entity - if everything is set in stone then this is how its meant to be." Acceptance that this might just be the cards I've been dealt. To search for answers and simultaneously accept that chronic illness may be your fate is a bit of a paradox because it is the rejection of acceptance that spurs you forward in the pursuit of answers, but it is the acceptance that you may always be sick that let's you lead a more peaceful life... so one must walk this contradictory line between both opposing states to have the motivation to find the answers whilst not being so outcome dependent. Still haven't mastered this, but think it's an interesting concept."

the "4 5 6" part I think is also a bit of a callback to the Freddy Kreuger bar. If you may recall, there's that nursery rhyme type song that was in the early movies: '1, 2 Freddy's coming after you 3, 4, lock the door 5, 6, get a crucifix..' and so on and so forth. Dude's word play in insane, so many hidden layers to everything!

Don't know anything about Stranger Things but the up to 11 line makes me think of Spinal Tap. You know, because Spinal Tap rocked so hard that they had special amplifiers that went up to 11.

I also caught his double entendre when he raps something like, "pick the world up, I'm squattin'"... His rapping is beastly strong like Atlas, who can pick the world up and hold it on his shoulders, owning it, and also during the pioneer days people would go into the lands and they called them squatters when they sat on land to claim it. This practice was literally called squatting and there were rights called squatter's rights. Ren is "claiming" this genre (and RIGHTfully so!) while offering his own style for us to be amazed at upon seeing him and hearing him. I know this is 4 months old now but I love seeing peoples reactions to Rens amazing talent. Just a couple of references that I see missed all the time... I can't blame a younger generation for missing this when Ren says, "turn it up to 11" yes that is a Stranger Things reference but I am almost certain that it also refers to "Spinal Tap." That is a "mockumentary." Basically it's a spoof of a documentary about a rock band they did back in the 80s. In that, they talk about an amplifier that goes to 11 when all others only went to 10. The other reference I think you caught but I see a lot of reactors miss is the Atlas reference. Atlas was a Titan of Endurance in Greek Mythology. He held up the world. If you have not seen the statues, look them up and you will understand the line about, I pick up the world and I'm squatin'. Which is another double Referring to how strong he is to lift the entire world and doing squats with it. Also, how he is uplifting the world by being a positive influence through his music. Best breakdown of this song I have seen. You did mention one thing I saw another reaction channel talk about is how Ren songs are all stories and his tone, cadence and music changes with each scene.

He had lime disease for 10 years but the 1st 5 years was misdiagnosis.

This was the best freaking reaction! You picked up on so much I would have never seen! The number play was one of the big ones. I'm not sure if you noticed it almost felt like he left off at 4. 5. 6. BUT I noticed when Ren went from the gang scene with the animals to the gang scene with shirtless Ren, there is a guy with a orange number 87 shirt on. Then a little later towards the end of the video, off to the side of him the #9 is spray painted in black beside him. Either he left off at 9 and it means something or I missed the 10. The only nursery rhyme or old kid song I could think of is 1-2 buckle my shoe..3-4 lock the door..5.6 pick up sticks...7.8 Stay up late. I may have to go look that up. Also, the fact you so quickly spelled coughin' vs. coffin made me feel dumb..I swear at 45 my kid ask me how to spell things and I have to grab my phone for spell check on the most simple of words.
