I read about The Meaning of Ren when I was a kid in the 90s and I named my daughter Ren because of what Ren means. this is very close to how I think a lot of us feel about Ren. I have rewritten it and might post that one but here is the 2003 version. I have been asked by many if I would post this here. The Meaning of Ren 2003-04-19 The core thought of Confucianism is Ren, but what is the meaning of Ren? Ren (or Rén) is the Confucian virtue denoting the good feeling a virtuous human experiences when being altruistic. Ren is exemplified by a normal adult's protective feelings for children. It is considered the inward expression of Confucian ideals. So many people don't realize or aren't old enough to know that before Trump decided to run as a Republican he tried to get the Democratic nomination. He was well loved by all of Hollywood and all of the Left as they were before he decided to run. They decided they wanted Hilary Clinton as the nominee so he went to the Republican party and got that nomination. He didn't care which side he got because he wasn't neither really. He wasn't a politician and that's what so many people liked about him. But, when he went against Hilary they had to throw everything they could against him. They made up lies and brought things up that had nothing to do with his ability to be a President. This stuff about him having mistresses is nothing new. Every President has had mistresses either in their past or even some had them while still in office. While I don't like Trump's personality I do like what he wants for this country for the most part. I do wish there was another person though to get the nomination that had his same values for the country but wasn't so controversial. A lot of people can't distinguish between the two. They also can't undo in their heads all of the lies that have been told about him for the past 8-9 years either.
