Every public building has Exit signs and In Case of Fire Take Stairs" signs, we need a campaign to force hospitals to have "Test Me For Lyme Disease" signs in emergency rooms, clinics etc. Ren you were chosen for this moment in time. Be blessed.

Having lime and Alfa-gal from a tic it took 6 years before a doctor tested for lime. A little too late for me. Like you suggested if they tested people all the time it would greatly reduce the pain and suffering.

A lot of the medical system still to this day doesn't recognize. Chronic Lyme disease as a real thing. Although I read that the CCD in the U S has finally said that they now recognise Chronic Lyme disease as an illness. So maybe some light on the dark tunnel. Has been given for more sufferers to get the help they need.

The whole medical system has gone downhill. _Urgent_ tests, ordered by doctors, often can’t be scheduled for months, leaving only an emergency room visit as a timely way to get answers, which we get charged thousands for, despite having expensive medical insurance. I thought it was bad 20-25 years ago, but it’s much worse now. Regarding Lyme, I keep being told that the tests are not reliable, and at this point, I’ve probably had it for over 20 years.

Look how far you have come. You are an amazing human being Ren. Not just physically, mentally and emotionally have you travelled, but on your inner powerful heart-soul connection journey too. I hope for a day everyone can get this type of holistic care and begin to fully understand and embrace that journey. You are allowing yourself to full embrace “becoming”. You are more whole now at this stage in your life. Maybe you will always compartmentalise some parts of your life, but that will be through choice rather than protection and distancing of the pain, sacrifice and hurt. I always with all my heart wish you well and wish you the ability to shine to your fullest glory in the world, whatever that looks like for you.

I don't believe the Dr's care about people with autoimmune disorder, which causes severe depression. I'm just so overwhelmed by not being listened to. We need more people like you. This disorder separates you from the living. I Don't have any humans to express how this affects me, living in relentless isolation. You do make me feel much better, just by hearing the strength within you.... I'm forever in debt to your priceless advice❤ Thank you Ren....

I’m sure it’s not easy looking back through your journey, but it’s an inspiration and a ray of hope and light to so many! I’m just glad you found treatments that have allowed you to live your life and share your art! I pray your journey of healing continues and that you can fully enjoy each and every day. We love you 💛

Never been through serious physical illness but i can relate to your anger towards the system, it's fucking messed up how many people fall through the cracks and just disappear. However i can also relate to the happiness of it finally working and seeing the "good side" of it all. We're so grateful for you, Ren. Beyond grateful. I'm sorry it took so shit for people to finally see what was going on. You're probably (100%) the most inspiring and motivating person I've ever known. We love you

You have brought me so much joy with your music since I discovered you 18 months ago. It's quite difficult to watch this reminder of how bad things were for you, not all that long ago. I'm an old guy, and still haven't faced the challenges to my health that you have. No one should have to deal with these conditions. Oh, yeah! The NHS is sooo fucked up... I left my GP's office 4 hours ago and for a good 15 minutes I couldn't calm down and stop crying. After 5 years of living in constant pain, I was told that I would have to wait another 5 or so for an operation that could help me 😪 The fact that you have been fighting for 11 years is simply woow 🤯 I don't know how you manage it all (mentally and physically), but I sincerely admire you! And besides, respect for the music you create! Never give up and keep moving forward, you're a great guy! 💪❤

Hi Ren(hehe) I am a new fan who just discovered your music a couple of weeks ago and I have absolutely fallen in love with, not only your incredible musical talent, but also the way you have taken your struggles and the things that are fucked up about our system and turned them into something amazing to listen to and watch. As a disabled person and someone who struggles with complex mental illness, I can so deeply relate to feel trapped in your body and like your mind is attacking you, and I can definitely relate to the way the medical and mental health system has and is failing people. Thank you for sharing your story so openly and allowing yourself to be so vulnerable. It makes me feel less alone in the world. ❤

So glad you’ve found a path and hope it holds true for you. You’re advocating for many now. That’s a blessing and really how the world should work. I recall a doctor telling us “you have to be your own advocate”. I was so sad and angry. How, when I knew nothing? Maybe the world now, with all it’s social media connections, will move that forward. It’s easier than it was then, even if not perfect. Blessings to you and to everyone fighting the good fight. PS - Haven’t been able to drink Evian since Reality Bites. 🤣

You made this video 2 years ago championing for people with chronic illness. To this day, you are still a huge advocate for them, bringing so much awareness with your Troubles track. I want to thank you personally for also advocating for those of us suffering from mental health issues and depression. I’m serious as can be when I say that my depression levels have actually gone down since I started listening to your music. "No one took the time to look at the whole picture" -- a concise indictment of what's wrong with medicine worldwide. The healthcare systems don't look at the whole person but at symptoms and organs and through the lens of specialties. I'm so glad to know you're getting somewhere with your health, and sad for all you've missed in those years. But incredible music has emerged despite it all. Wishing you wellness and art and vibrant life!

I’m a veterinarian in North Carolina, and I couldn’t agree more. I’ve long said that my pets get better medical care than I do, and I’ll die on that hill. Hell, we test dogs for Lyme disease every year because of the prevalence in our area. The test is around $50. Can you imagine the anarchy from insurance companies if we tried to get the same for humans? Regardless, I am so sorry the medical system failed you so spectacularly, Ren. Thank you for sharing your story. It’s given me hope for better times. All my best- Olivia

Oh Ren, you’re such an inspiration to me. I’m feeling so bad at the moment, so low, but you give me hope. But then seriously the NHS needs to be accountable surely! You should get an apology at the very least. I think if I was you I would probably be very tempted to sue them. I’m just so thankful that we get to see your gifts and talents shining through. God bless mate. I pray you see a full recovery and the strength to keep giving us your epic music. ❤❤❤

Or, rather than the NHS specifically, the government(s) who chronically underfund healthcare services and medical research because it often isn't profitable. The leaders of the country in charge of purse strings and policies should surely be held accountable. They're actively shaping our services to be constantly under pressure

All the love in the world to you Ren 💜 my 21yr old son has a very rare Epilepsy condition and we bounced from doctor to doctor in the Uk, eventually we found our shining light, a specialist neurologist who looked at all his issues and gave us our diagnosis, having this diagnosis meant we could try medical Cannabis oil which is only legally prescribed to a very few people in the UK and it has helped him greatly! You look so much healthier now and honestly your music has been my shining light on many a dark day and i appreciate you for sharing your journey 💜

I love this so much. I dealt with mysterious health issues across my entire 20's and finally got a diagnosis this year at 34. I intentionally chose bougie health insurance to give myself the best chance at getting a diagnosis, and it still took 2 GP's that believed me, an army of specialists, and 4 1/2 years. All to diagnose me with Rheumatoid Arthritis. You don't know how awesome it is to have someone in the public eye that understands chronic illness and shares their story. Thank you for everything and keep being a warrior, Ren.

I also have M.E, but these days I can manage it if I pace myself, so I consider myself so lucky. I watched "unrest" years ago and it pulled me through when I was really struggling. It's an illness that not only is misunderstood, but comes with so much stigma attached to it. Family members even thought I was just being lazy at first, until they saw me screaming in pain, begging them to make it go away and not having any answers. I believe mine was caused by prolonged trauma/ptsd, my body just couldn't take it. I tried to get re-referred to the M.E clinic a few years ago, to be told they won't see me because they don't know how to help me. The strength and determination you have is so inspiring to me and so many others. Thank you ❤

Love the shirt mate, I live a couple hours south of Chicago. I moved to Illinois a couple years ago hoping I'd get some help as well for my Lupus and Vasculitis but the doctors give me the same mantra as you were talking about in the video. I started getting seizures now, and they just threw more pills at me and doubted it was seizures, they didn't even run any tests. Their emergency rooms are the same, they just dismiss you and send you home to suffer. I totally agree with you that the medical industry doesn't know what to do with us chronically Ill people. Feels like the only choice to do is keep searching while greatly suffering unfortunately. I wish you all the best in your continuing journey of wellness Ren, your music gives me hope and the drive to keep going.

This is timely. Thank you, Ren. I’m trying to stay alive. Cheers with an Evian water. It’s a real struggle to talk about it, and also to not talk about it. If we say nothing on the days that we’re just getting by, and faking being okay, people think we’re healthy. If we complain about the pain, we’re whining, or being a downer. The healthcare system is seriously lacking in so many ways. Chronic illness needs more resources, research, and doctors who will search EVERY possibility in their field. Then they should communicate with others in their field if they can't see a solution. It's hell being given "try on" diagnoses and medications, hoping they're the answer. Thank you for this!! The fact that you learned more and feel a sense of direction towards feeling your best is such a blessing and gives me hope!!!! You give me hope❣️❣️

Ren, you answered your own question. The reason it took so long to get to the bottom of your illness is because every doctor, nurse, technician and every other medical "professional" had to get "their hands inside the cookie jar!" Even doctors in other countries are getting in on your misfortune. You wrote several songs about this very problem with your Money Game trilogy and other fantastic songs. That is the hope of your music. That one day money will not be worth more to humans than our own humanity and health. I only wish complete healing for you Ren that you can enjoy the rest of your LONG LIFE with your family and friends!!! ❤

Ren, please understand that as uncomfortable as it is for you to talk about your struggles, it needs to be done. Use your experience and exposure to bring awareness to those who need it. The more noise you make about the inadequacies in health care, the better the chance that something will actually change. Ren you are a force of nature. Where many would have succumbed to your illness, you have somehow come through it. Be it luck or shear will. (I think a bit of both) You have a platform that can bring awareness to many, and a community that will stand behind you always. Stay strong!

thank you for staying strong Ren. The world is so much of a better place with you in it. Not only have you been a massive inspiration for us, but also helped us so fucking much. Going around dancing with a speaker "rapping with a slit throat". It feels like I'm dancing with death at all times. We're masochistic too, bleeding and being persistent little buggers thanks to the help of your music. It's like the ending of a bad joke. My experience, too many doctors want to treat the symptoms without finding the cause. I've turned down pills.....when I ask "but why?" and there's not an answer....ok, next. I am finally seeing a group of specialists who are great and work with each other to figure out the puzzle. Thanks for everything that you do Ren. Much ❤ your way.

I won't post a load about my story bc I know the outpouring can be overwhelming sometimes, but I can definitely empathize with your journey and have experienced about 17 yrs of head scratching over my health. Your story has helped me so much and your music continues to help me literally every day. I hope to do a cover of one of your pieces as a thank you, because you literally changed my life. Thank you for all you do. You have a diehard fan in me ❣❣❣❣

You are so humble. Such an incredible human. ❤❤you are so loved. It has taken me my whole life to finally get diagnosed last year with an autoimmune disorder that almost killed me from sepsis. I felt all everyone of these things and it was decades. Wasted life. I'm so proud of you.

Even as a nurse, it's hard for me to say anything that truly hits the spot, with regards to what you have been through, and indeed, are still going through. But, you have a light Ren. Where it came from is another conversation altogether, but it's a light, and it exists to not only remind you what you have beyond the BS, but also shows others that darkness doesn't abide. Peace.

I feel like you are an avatar for so many people’s stories. Keep it up. I think the balance of you Ren and your genuine Ren self is perfect too. 😘💝😊

Thank you Ren. Wishing you all the best. I have this dichotomy of thought where I want you to become a world renowned musician, director, actor, singer all the things, but at the same time I selfishly don’t want you to become too famous, what is it called? I want to gatekeep you. Ha ha. Anyway, you are such a motivational, inspirational person for so many people you deserve to go as far as you can possibly go. ❤❤❤
