This is my current Renault Clio mk2 2003 the fault is the UCH I know myself trying to find a definitive answer on what it is can be hard so I thought I'd help out !!! Feel free to leave comments on your experience

for anyone new looking into this problem - remove the uch and find a repair service (i used one on ebay send by post they fix it send it back £70) plug back it sorted! if you buy a new UCH it will need reprogramming to your vehicle pretty costly. mine was on a renault kangoo van so i had to remove the dashboard to access it still wasn't too difficult of a job just fiddly. might be located differently on other models such as clio but the problem is the same

yes you can remove and replace this box with a little time just unscrew the 2 screws on the side of the fews box and undo the bolt holding the bracket unplug the conectors and unscrew the dash screws and remove the dash,this will take a little time but its better than ''just getting rid of it''as the younger layzier fouks would do,and probly sell it on as some elses problem.

I had a problem with the hazard lights coming on . The only cure was to remove the fuse which left me without any indicators . I eventually cured the problem by replacing the decoupling capacitors in the UCH . These are found under the 40 way connector . A tricky job but being an electronics engineer I did manage to cure the problem . It's been ok for a whole year .

I'm not an electronic engineer but I repaired it anyway by replacing the capacitors

Hey man... thanks for the video... I think i'm having the same problem, my right indicator won't turn off... Did you fix your problem? Was it expensive?? I don't mind getting a mechanic to look at it, just want to get the bleedin thing fixed without overspending on it!

Hi I didn't get it fixed i just got rid of the car a mechanic would probably know what there doing ive been told its just a dodgy relay inside the uch but its a sealed unit

Ah nightmare! Cheers for the help anyway man... will ask around but might have to do the same as yourself... The electrics on them clios are brutal!

It is highly likely that it is the UCH. Renault UCHs have an issue, where the tiny ceramic capacitors get fried over time. This presents itself as an indicator being stuck on. Cabling etc. faults usually mean that the indicator is stuck off. There's another video here on youtube that diagnoses this same issue (Vauxhall car, using Renault UCH).

think it's just held on with a bracket
