@@startepower My dads Laguna mightve been modified as the speedo actually also says 270. I dont have any pictures to share tho. Its also a diesel engine, i might be wrong but thats what my dad told me so far about the engine

Impossible. The car is too heavy for 235 km/h. Best result I have seen is 225 km/h, which is also way too much.

@@startepower Hum, maybe. But I think it's "made for that", if not it wouldn't be automatic :D I had it on Laguna 2 during 3 years, the car was 8 year old, never had problem. For now my Laguna 3 is 13 years old and the parking break work like the first day, always automatic and a lot of hill start (because the parking break is also hill start assist)

@Sirius I totally agree! Automatic because no physical power is required, automatically turns on and off automatically. I drive it on the plain, and on gentle hills I don’t need it because the automatic transmission doesn’t let the car go backwards, so I use the parking brake I only use while the car is parked. 😀 🍻

Hello, have the same 1.5 engine and up to 150 km/h is okay but above acceleration takes ages. My max is 170-180 km/h. This is Grandtour version.

I raced a megane 3 Gt Line 2.0 dci 165 with a seat leon fr 2.0 tdi 170 hp and the difference above 160 is too big the leon pulls way more

The 1.5 dCi can not go over 200 km/h. It doesn't reach 200 km/h btw. in any Renault/Dacia product.

I've got same engine on automatic gearbox sport touring (1650kg car weight) and it seems to increase in speed a little bit faster. But I think mine has been limited at 210km/h from factory. In Germany i belive they has a word "every 100k km, engine lise 10hp" but even my engine was old in that tine and lotus of km, but this is the truth, 230 top speed! I think is better with good diesel and oul tot use... Here in my country, i use MOL or OMV for diesel and oul LIQUI MOLY with PURFLUX filtre because they use CHEVRON tehnology.

@ratkooporonty Gasoline cars are city cars. I won't think about gas stations all the time ... it's not okay to stop at a gas station every two hours and waste time on a long trip. Example: crossing 1800 km at one refueling point. A gasoline car has to stop 5 times to refuel. And this prolongs the travel time by 2-5h when you are very tired and have to sleep over, so your trip takes 1 day longer.
