Well the only way you're going to know if there's a performance advantage is if you dyno before and after for each modification. But that turns into a very expensive exercise. Perhaps you could at least do one dyno run stock and then a dyno run after all the performance mods are done. The blow off valve could be loosing you performance as they can leak, which is why I stick with the original recirculating valve system. Good on you for doing it yourself. They're not the easiest DIY cars.

Installed my KTR induction kit today. Easy peasy. I will be adding my own cold air intake to improve on the stock snorkel thingy.

Have the kit on my gt 2.0 tce now, that battery box is pure hell to put back. I do feel some vibrations treu my gas pedal becouse the filter neck vibratens to the brake fluid reservior, buth ur steer is on the other side so u dont feel anyting i gess

Hi Jay. I am debating between this and the drop in filter. Its an ongoing debate in the community. What would you recommend for the best performance? Did you notice a loss in power with this on hot days?

I didn’t notice any drop on performance at all. I think the differences between the two will be negligible unless you are using them together with other engine modifications. If you are using other upgrades from K-TEC for your car, then I would recommend sticking to this one shown in the video

@@jayzceegraham Thanks Jay. Ya Inhave a 76mm catback exhaust and a stage 2 tune. Everyone says something different with regards to drop in vs cone. I like the noise of the cone, but I dont want to loose any performance due to the placement of the cone at the back and hot air. Thanks for the input :)

The plastic bottom pannel is literally 4 10MM bolts drop it and you wil fiend your socket.

where did you find the instructions on how to remove the battery tray? trying to put a sub in my car supossed to go through the firewall behind the air intake you removed but need to remove battery etc before

K-TEC in the UK sent me the step by step instructions when I ordered the product. I’m not sure if I still have them, but K-TEC probably will

wow that's sounds awful ! l have just got the same ktec induction kit today ! is it hard to install it ? is removing the battery necessarily ?

It’s not overly hard to install. Unfortunately to get the old K&N air box out, the battery and battery box does have to be removed.

another question: what's the sound of the bov without the induction kit ? which sounds better ? l am considering whether l should install both forge bov and the induction kit.

From the cabin/drivers seat, I prefer the sound of the induction kit by itself. The BOV sounds amazing from the outside, sounds a little weird from the inside. Everyone has their own preference. I think you’ll prefer the sound of the induction kit over the BOV. But the BOV is easy enough to install/uninstall after the induction kit is in, so you’ll be able to determine what works for you.
