You may recall me telling you that I've been studying many paranormal subjects for almost 40 years, this also includes UFOs. The Rendlesham Forest incident also goes by another name. Britain's Roswell, the odd factor about the Rendlesham case is that the object(s) didn't crash, they landed. But with Roswell, it's the other way round. One thing I found slightly surprising at the beginning of this video, was that *The Men in Black* was reported by Vince Thurkettle, who he thought were reporters. Did you notice that the car doesn't have a license plate.

This was excellent, but whatever source told you that a notebook from the 1980s could be carbon dated twenty years later is NOT a good source for reliable information. The half-life of carbon-14 is over 5000 years, so nothing can be accurately dated by that method unless it's at least 500 years old. I'm sure there's other ways to date more recent paper and ink, but carbon dating ain't it.
@jonmiller436117 күн бұрын
Yeah, I thought that as well. The newer method of radiocarbon dating can date withing a minimum of 60ish year. I just assumed there was a different method more aligned to modern aspects that passed under the radar, or didn't have such an appealing name like carbon dating.
@MalcolmCooks2 күн бұрын
you can't carbon date anything to later than 1950 anyway - this is the cutoff date after which there is too much radioactive carbon in the atmosphere from burning coal & oil and nuclear testing.

I've had plenty of experiences myself. But there's no limit to how stupid some members of the military can be regardless of rank and training. Ignorance and incompetence are the first enemies of any unit whether it's war time or not. Pranks, hoaxes, and story tellong are also extreeeemely common. Bored dudes in close quarters constantly vy for entertainment or to screw with each other or to try and leave some mark on base life. Disinformation campaigns are alway a possibility, too. Point is that it's a mistake to assume that training, rank, or service means that the witness is reliable.

Very mysterious event whichever perspective you take on it, something definitely occurred on those 3 nights at Christmas 1980 in Suffolk. The fact that it was covered up for almost 3 years after the event until whistle-blower ex military man Larry Warren spoke out in public about his experiences during those events, hence opening a can of worm's with several military personnel reluctantly coming forward soon after. I personally believe it was something very strange (no lighthouse) that occurred. Aliens may be pushing the boundaries but no one can say it wasn't or was. Very strange and fascinating incident.

I was on the Norfolk broads one evening with my brother and a group of friends just laying beside the water on a little grass bank, I was looking up at the light grey clouds that covered the entire nights sky when a circular whole opened directly above. 6 or 7 blue star like lights appeared and started almost frantically dancing around eachother in this parting in the clouds. No words had been spoken at this point when I said to my brother who was looking up also, can you see that? He confirmed what I was seeing and said he was then going to ask me the same thing. We could not explain what we were seeing and as quick they appeared they shot off and the clouds came back together. We were freaked out by it and didn’t know what we had just seen. This story gave me chills how similar the description of the lights are to what we saw that evening.

Its not the existence of aliens that I doubt, but that they’re near enough in an immeasurably vast time or space to make contact with earth, or that they would even have the technology to do that. If they by the slimmest chance find themselves at the right time, and we just haven’t spotted them in our telescopes, and they’ve made it here, that’s the most terrifying outcomes since their tech would be so much more advanced that they’d see us as monkeys.

Everyone forgets that the high ranking British official quoted in this video presents us with an either/or explanation for the Rendelsham Forest Incident. Instead of automatically focusing on the possibility that this was a genuine UFO encounter, let's consider the option that many USAF soldier and officers at the Bentwaters Base were hallucinating. The timing of the incident amid holiday celebrations has always raised my suspicions. Excessive alcohol consumption is a given. However, what if hallucinogens and other narcotics were also imbibed? What if the punch was spiked? What if some serious commanders did not even realize they had been slipped Micky Finns as a holiday prank? Then, they were led through the dark forest by their men and guided on an acid trip with suggestions of weird encounters by bright lights? This is the first documentary that mentions that British soldiers at this joint base might have staged a hoax and that the witnesses were mocked after their odd UFO experiences. Despite harmless motives, this would have meant that key officials at Bentwaters were not in full command of their faculties while on duty at an active Airforce base which actually had nuclear weapons under their care during the height of the Cold War. That would certainly provide ample motive to cover-up the whole prank to avoid serious investigations, courtmarshals, crippling military careers and a serious international incident between the US and its closest ally. I never assign evil intentions to government officials when simple stupidity and selfish fear offer a simpler explanation of their actions. Just food for thought . . .

I didn’t see a red light, but around a month or so ago, I was driving up in the Appalachian Mountains area near me, and as I was going up the side of the mountain on the rather dead midnight highway, I entered into a sudden and dense fog, and immediately after I got into the fog, off to my right, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something bright moving, and upon fully looking, I saw something I still cannot explain reasonably: There were three very bright orange lights in the fog, solid, no other lights at all, and they were in a wide straight line, moving extremely close to the ground (I'm talking right above the trees, and this is on the mountainside, in dense fog) and extremely quickly away from me, rapidly disappearing into the fog. The part that truly baffled me then and still does now is that I had my windows down, and I didn’t hear even the slightest sound, just the normal humming of the tires going over the roadway, but nothing else. Not even the faintest of sounds. I went back the next day to see if any lights on the mountain could have tricked my eyes a bit, but there were no lights there at all, and definitely not three orange ones moving at a high rate of speed super close to the ground. Not long after it had disappeared without a trace, the fog moved away again, and I was thinking hard about it the whole way back. I have no idea what I saw, but I cannot explain it.

Anyone that wants to learn more about this case, the book 'Left At East Gate' was written by one of the young airmen who witnessed this event.

Thank you for posting this video. Over the decades, I've heard about this incident mentioned in many UFO documentaries. However, they were just a few details scattered amid the more general topic of UFOs. I really wanted a more detailed focus on the Rendelsham Forest Incident, and I liked the way you walked us through all the stages of the event in chronological order.

Love your channel, Sir - it's as extraordinary and brilliant as the many intriguing and chilling cases you cover so eloquently, thoroughly, and thoughtfully!! I know this type of research - nearly lost to, and twisted by, time, with reliable - or not - accounts, making it, quite arguably, the most difficult kind of all. And I really appreciate all your time and energy spent so actively delving into these strange and obscure cases - whether they're stories, legends, or somewhere in-between! It's like one embarking on putting together an old and incomplete jigsaw puzzle found in the attic - that isn't easy! Yet you do it over and over again so well, so respectfully,, and with such grace! I believe I can speak for just about all of your (continually growing) viewers in thanking you once more for such an original, engaging, and high quality channel! You will be around for a long time, and I'm super-excited to have found this channel (and subscribing to it!)!! Thank you again! Be well & Blessed, Martin & Buggles

Thank you very much! I think it helps that I try to lean into the story as it was originally presented and try to ignore elements that are maybe added later (with some exceptions, such as this video). Otherwise I'd go mad trying to figure out what to include and what not to.

This was always my favorite UFO story. Btw-all those locations are spots of power lines. I grew up in Sedona, Arizona and its a hot spot for it's vortexes. Saw something back in the 90's there that i could only say is a UFO, it flew way too fast and erratically to be anything human. I absolutely loved this one!

Hi, I’ve recently discovered you and your channel is amazing! I’m not sure if it’s inappropriate to comment a request or not but I’d LOVE to hear your rendition of the Lindley Street Haunting. It’s criminally underrated and have never been satisfied with its telling outside of a book. Just a thought 😊

Well, you might not have to wait long. I’m finishing up the current video I’m working on and then Lindley street is next on my list :)

Great great channel..I work a lot of graveyard shifts and your channel definitely keeps me awake. Your cases are most intriguing and though I’ve heard about most, there’s a new angle on the ones I’m familiar with. I did definitely enjoy the episode dedicated to cases to fall asleep while listening to…Though I was scared to my wits and didn’t fall asleep till after the episode..Howdy from Texas and keep up the outstanding work 👍🏻👍🏻

I had never heard of this case before.. fascinating.. especially the part about his writing in binary. Was it ever determined if he knew binary before that or did it just come to him? I’d love to know more about this.. great video!! I just found your channel and immediately subscribed:) I’ve been watching them all morning since.. thanks! I look forward to binging all your videos lol😂❤

I’ve truly seen three lights in the sky like this guy, they appeared in a triangle formation, then each one flew off at perpendicular angles at the speed of light and then some 👍 England near a RAF base A few nights later a Hercules C130(?) flew without lights really low over my house in the early morning in pitch black towards the RAF base - that maybe just a coincidence that I’ve only seen that once and never again since.

I met a gentleman doing electrical in his home not too long ago. Who on his own accord brought up his air force history and then asked me if I believe in the UFO phenomenon. Told him of course. Then asks if I've heard of this particular incident. I said I'm familiar with the story. He goes on to tell me he was there. And the lights. Weren't from here. Not from our planet.
