As a student of philosophy I appreciated the rap battle, as well as your response to it, you guys come across as very informed and intelligent people :)

I like watching you guys's reaction because as a fellow nerd I need to hear people dive a little deeper into this stuff. I'm not saying that the other people reacting to ERB videos are dumb but I'm saying that they only know a minuscule amount about history and a lot of those people are always complain about raps not being real enough well guess what guys ERB raps are as real as it gets.

"A War Of Wits" sounds like a great documentary name.

I started watching reaction videos of ERB because I enjoy watching people's reactions of the beat mixed with the flow. It's fantastic because you can tell immediately who know the "facts" of the discussion and who just reacts to the beat alone. Never watched this channel before but I can tell immediately that boy on the left if familiar with this video and boy on the right is legit AF.

I like watching a lot of your reactions more than a lot of the others because i like that you guys actually know a lot of stuff. I mean a lot of the times in ERB there are specific punchlines that are true and based on the character (so you can tell they really do their research). So some good jokes pass through people who dont know the person or dont know enough about the person. So since some reactors dont know the people and dont research even a little before the battle they dont get a lot of good jokes. Its nothing against them but its better when people actually get some of the good lines

first of all, I just want to say a general "thank you" for doing these and being awesome. I just started doing my own ERB reactions, and my favourite reactors - the ones who I count as my inspiration - are you and Jinx. second, on the subject of philosophy, a lot of comedians can be considered our modern philosophers, and while there are probably a few dozen George Carlin quotes I could offer, one of the my favourite life observations comes from Doug Stanhope: "The only true freedom you find is when you realize and come to terms with the fact that you are completely and unapologetically fucked, and then you are free to float around the system" - Doug Stanhope accepting this simple truth has saved me so much stress and disappointment. so many people that end up depressed or stressed the hell out are pursuing a pipe dream because they don't accept that the system is designed to benefit "the one percent" and not the rest of us. but if that's too negative for you, I'll close with a happier spin on it from my favourite rapper, George Watsky: "I'd rather be making the choices I'm proud of than chasing a mountain of money, but if that mountain comes to me I'm climbing it" - from "Strong as an Oak".
