Actually it isn't about that. It shows how much Cherri Bomb did for Angel Dust. If you notice she's blowing up anything to do with Valentino, Angel Dust's sexually abusive pimp, and this song is a reference to the comic on the Hazbin Hotel website. This is actually a prequel to Hazbin Hotel and shows why he's there. Angel Dust never had a choice in going to hell. Born into a 1947 Mafia family, his father was homophobic, and abused Angel Dust on the daily. He overdosed to escape his life. Valentino's red mist you saw at the beginning works like a drug and makes people do what he wants. He's really possessive and obsessive over Angel.

A little personal interpretation for the two of you, just in case! Angel Dust is, pretty obviously, an adult star working for the Moth Demon Overlord named Valentino. He basically got Angel addicted to an additional special kind of drug aside from PCP that kind of chains Angel to Valentino, who's actually a severely abusive boss to Angel in multiple ways. Since you can't just turn off addiction, Angel has severe emotional issues because of Valentino. Cherri is his only friend, so she tries to help by blowing shit up to get rid of traces of Valentino, and Angel joins in to feel better (I assume). So, this video was showing Angel and Cherri's relationship, their negative stance towards Valentino, and Angel's addiction at the end.

@@moonknightfan1444 If I had to take a guess, I'd say it's probably her brother? He has some similar features to Angel, and from the way the video sets them up, it feels like it's someone who's no longer with Cherri. So the resemblance to her "brother" could also play to why she cares so much about Angel. Though, that's just a theory, and I could be wrong, but hey, imaginations never hurt.

Basically the song is saying that Angel and Cherri's whole persona is a way to cope. Cherri is blowing up Valentino's property to free Angel and her own issues. Angel goes to the hotel to escape but doesn't yet fully trust it. Fat Nuggets(the pig) and Cherri Bomb seem to be his support network.

The absolute best part of the music video for me is how several of the locations destroyed by Cherri are properties owned by Valentino, the pimp who abuses Angel. She's got her boy's back and I love her for it.

honestly, what i like about this music video aside from the incredible harmony between Michael and Chi-Chi? Cherri Bomb I realize she was only onscreen in the pilot for like a cumulative total of 5 minutes, if that, so seeing her show more facial expressions/emotions than just manic glee really helps flesh her out as a character more not to mention her and Angel's relationship. i know they're friends in the pilot but considering the nature of where they are as well as their personalities i kinda only saw them as fair weather friends, like the only thing that brought them together is their love of causing chaos (i'm aware that actual relationships can form in Hell, looking at Charlie/Vaggie and Moxie/Minnie) but those flashback(?) scenes during the first chorus showed that Cherri definitely cares about what Angel is going through. like of all characters in this show Cherri was never one i thought i'd see with a look of concern on it

This gave me a new found respect for Angel Dust. He isn't just a horny spider, but a tortured soul who has had to deal with an abusive boss, and drug addiction. He probably saw Cherri Bomb as an escape from the madness of his personal "hell", into a fun kind of madness.

I am sorry if you adressed it and i missed it .. but the main point and reason angel is taking drugs is to cope with the sexual abuse he recieves from valentino (the pimp who forcefully kisses him) .. now we dont know if he did the same before he died and that's why he did comatose .. but idk maybe it is .. he is an awesome character and this video puts a little backstory .. i suggest reading the seven comic pages on the official site .. it's a bit of a backstory on how angel met charlie and joined the hotel .. awesome video anyway i really hope there will be more of this

Angel actually died from overdosing on PCP! Which means he was into drugs long - long before he was into the porn business - since the porn business started when he got to hell. The drugs already killed him

@@jazzycat8917 pcp as the actual name was known to exist since the 20's but you're right considering it didnt reach actual recreational status since the 70's. Most likely died of a bad or tainted batch which was a normal thing at the time. High amounts also lead to severe convulsions as well as well as heart problems and suicidal tendencies.

He did take PCP to escape from these things - because his father was (most likely) homophobic. He's from a mobster family, having to sell his body wasn't a thing he needed back then. It's something that developed early on when he got into hell, though. Both because he enjoyed doing sex work, and to get money

Honestly I love the music video a lot. Gives some welcome background and all for his character. And just so you know it wasnt actually heroin that he was addicted to and all. It was pcp, hence the name angel dust and all. That discussion at the end about drugs, the dangers of it, and problems with addiction and all was a good touch and all as well and I wish you and your mother the best.

PCP, aka Angel Dust. Which is pretty impressive, since he died 15 years before it became a recreational drug, and it’s really hard to overdose on, which means he managed to get a LOT of it. As a former mobster, maybe he had some kind of hospital racket going.

Here's a personal comment since we're talking about addiction My mom has spent the last 4 years struggling really badly with her addiction. She's doing a lot better now and she's been clean for a year so far. But there's still fall out, like the fact that she doesn't have custody over my brother, and I only see her once a year since I left to live with my grandparents

To be clear it's not Heroin, it's "Angel Dust" which is PCP. Although he also talks about doing "Bolivian Marchin' Powder", PCP is what killed him. (Also interestingly, he is planned to later have a father named Henroin.)

things u probably didn’t notice (1) Angel is a spider and he has a pet pig so tht a connection with Charlottes web i thought tht was nice because he open up with a pig. (2) If read the comic the dude with the heart glasses is name Valentino and he is Angel abusive Boss. (3) Cherri bomb isn’t blowing up random buildings she actually blowing up Valentino district to get revenge for her best friend Angel (4) Sadly the part when Angel was dancing with Cherri and blew up the strip club was in his head (i think) because there is a quick sign saying “this was all a dream.”

my mother died to heroine when I was 12 because her boyfriend gave it to her when she was drunk and because of this I have struggled depression wondering what I could have done to stop that from happening.

I appreciate you guys tackling the addiction issue in such a compassionate, knowledgeable way. Along with the physical symptoms, there's also that black depression and panic. So even after you've detoxed completely, you're still in pain. It's tragic. I wish buprenorphine was made more available to heroin addicts, because methadone is just another trap.

Angel probably died to PCP or as it's called "Angel Dust" also there is a short-ish comic about his life working under Valentino the guy with heart glasses in the vid start were its implied and then reinforced in the music vid that he was abused by val and there when him and cherri are leaving the club there is a sign saying "it's not real" implying the destruction of Valentino's Club was all-in Angels head which is a realistic conclusion as Valentino is depicted in the pilot as a powerful demon on likes with Alistair and Vox the radio and TV demons so if he was to do something of that caliber he may just go after cherry and kill her or torture her just to get an angel and then force him back right into servitude and staying at the hotel seems a likely escape from Valentino

Coming back to this video and Nate comparing Cannabis to a cup of coffee made me think of this CBD infused coffee I've been drinking lately. I've had a cup every day and it's the best my mood has ever been in years. CBD is non psychoactive and makes you feel really good. I much prefer it over taking poison chemical anti depressant pills which might make me feel suicidal or violent (SIDE EFFECTS) and the fact that even this CBD is not fully legal angers me when it has the power to help depression and a host of other medical issues.

It's a good example of pop music at its best. A catchy, very dance-worthy song, with subject matter that is just dark as fuck. It's pretty much the only way I enjoy pop; when the barrier is broken and the song is literally about something terrible. Most pop is absolute trash, only there to get you to dance. But sometimes there's a dance song about being addicted to a hard life of drugs and sexual slavery. It's horrible and awful and an absolute jam to grove to. Good job on their part. It's depressing as fuck and I still love it.

Making it legal where you can buy it also means that people make profit off of it and run a business, in which case they will aim to grow that business with marketing and trying to get people to do it. People kinda forget that part when suggesting making it legal will help people NOT do it. It's the most backwards twisted logic I've ever heard. I think people are assuming it'd be like some kind of reverse psychology. And maybe it's possible, given one may reference similar scenarios. But honestly, we'll never really know unless we try multiple methods in different limited times to see what results we get from each of them consistently and specifically.
