The original version of the song "Renegades" by American rapper Yelawolf was included in his 2016 album 'Hotel'. It used a sample from "Out of the Black", a song by Billie Marten that was a cover of the debut single by British rock band Royal Blood. Royal Blood wrote and recorded the song for their first EP, also called Out of the Black, which came out on 11 November 2013 by Black Mammoth Records.
Yelawolf released another version of "Renegades" in his 2019 album 'Ghetto Cowboy', which had a different chorus.
