While the hunter is more about single target DPS in LOTRO, the champion is primarily about area of effect attacks, though the red line allows you to spec more towards single target damage while still maintaining viability as an AOE tank. Personally, I think the red line DPS spec, but those who prefer melting down huge groups of mobs may prefer the yellow line!
In short, the champion is all about melee DPS, so those of you who like wading into the thick of it as opposed to playing it safe from a distance are going to love how this class plays in Lord of the Rings Online.
