In this painting demo, I show you step by step acrylic painting on canvas of size 16"/12". In this tutorial, I show how to paint a moonlight background with easy steps, how to do the placement of flowers, how to draw, how to paint cherry blossom flower on branches. I hope you like this moonlight night painting with a tree of flowers. This tutorial is a bit lengthy, but please don't skip and watch as you will not understand how I place the flower petals. I have written tips and methods in each section of the video. If anyone finds difficulty in the strokes, please check the basic video given below. practice the basic strokes a few times. once you get it. come again with this painting.if you have any doubts, please let me know at artistrenjitha@gmail.com

Thank you so much. You just need few colors to start off, no worries. magenta and white is fine for the flowers and burnt umber and burnt sienne for the branches.

What do you use for your canvas? Also, do you ever use water to thin out your colors for softer colors?

I prime my canvas using gesso. Yes, I only use water as the medium along with acrylics
