@@TheStopHunter I did ! I tried, like you, to find some good combinations between Renko and indicators. Renko is very powerful and with a good money management, we can have good results. Unfortunately Fibonacci Pivots Points doesn't work with Renko, so I add them manually everyday.
@TheStopHunter
@TheStopHunter Жыл бұрын
@@MohamedAmirios if you use Trading View there are some automated Fibonacci tools that save the manual application, some of them look pretty good and maybe worth a try? I mostly use them manually as it makes me step back and look at the price data in a more objective way and apply on top of other indicators as a confirmation tool. If you can programme then thats another way to automate tham but the tricky part with Fibonacci is deciding sometimes which is the prominent high / low to use. Kind regards Stephen

Incredible effort put into this video. In the stop loss section I found it strange to use fibonacci as stop loss rather than the recent pivot low of the blocks or selling when you hit a certain number of down blocks in a row (there are traditional rules of how many blocks can go against you depending on length of trend). at 1:47 the 1:1 RR was 60% risk which seems insane for a stop.

Dear Stophunter, Thank you very much for this extensive course. Just a question. Let’s say I want to determine the bricksize based on the atr value of a 14 period. Does that mean I need to modify thr bricksize after 14 bricks? (If the atr value changed after 14 periods) or is it just a one off configuration of the bricksize and it stays as is.
@TheStopHunter
@TheStopHunter 7 ай бұрын
Hi @fitnessforyoumindbodysoul5553 glad you found the course useful. To answer your question - you have to draw a line in the sand as to how many times you rebalance the block size. I have a few rules around this - I update the asset Im trading monthly unless the price or volatility has moved substantially enough to warrant a re-sizing. You will find generally they wont move that much. This video may also help : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qraao9p62d6Wdok.html Hope that helps. Regards Stephen

I’m not sure I follow your point!! This is as I say in the video a very and deliberately obvious example so that viewers can understand the concept. Trading is difficult period and there is no magic wand it is hard work. 90% of all traders lose and I am aware of this. You have to learn the fundamentals first though and become your own trader. Trading is never as straightforward as this example but you have to make it as clear as possible so viewers follow. I can bring the horse to water but I can’t make it drink.

Nice information...... Can u plz provide break (Block size) of various currency.... Eg.-- EUROUSD, EUROGBP......
@TheStopHunter
@TheStopHunter Жыл бұрын
Hi Pratap markande - most of those block sizes on EURxxx will fall between 0.0015 and 0.0025. I update them monthly or on significant volatility moves, so they wont always remain this size. I am also quite aggressive with my block sizes so it gives me more signals, so it also depends on your risk appetite. Make block sizing part of your trading plan itsimportant you get this part correct when using Renko. A quick way to start is to take the daily ATR of what you want to trade and take about 20% of this number to give you a starting place then refine. Hope that helps? Regards Stephen

Renko bricks or blocks do not use time, yet you state daily or 1 hour. Is this a
@TheStopHunter
@TheStopHunter Жыл бұрын
I don’t think you’ve understood what I am saying. I know Renko blocks should not use time and only price action but the creation of blocks on todays charts in almost all charting software does use time to close off the blocks and therefore will create a different chart block pattern and signals for the user depending on the timeframe you have selected on that chart. Most of the world these days uses TradingView for example and you can’t get round the issue of introducing a time factor into the charts. Give it a go: pull up 2 renko charts with the same block size - set one to one minute the other to 1 day and look at the results. Any indicator you add on top of these will also be affected due to the temporary blocks in the daily and those executed in the 1 minute. This is meant to be a practical guide for using renko in todays trading world. I’ve made other videos on this issue. They help to explain this further.

I am sorry but the information given in this video are very inaccurate!!! The renko charts need to treated with 1second ( or tick by tick) data, they cannot be in 1h time frame or even 5 minute. If one will do so then the strategies will leak everywhere and wont have an appropriate discipline/entry precision.
@TheStopHunter
@TheStopHunter Жыл бұрын
Very wrong @vincenzodimaro6045! I use different timeframes to great success. You do not 'leak' if you have a tested trading plan built around your idea!! Think of it like this - with timeframes introduced to Renko you're almost creating a chart like a bar or candlestick chart that just looks different. Think of it also like a candlestick chart strategy - do you wait for the close or enter when a price level has been broken and that candle still is yet to close - same problem. Build strategies around this new way of thinking then 'repainting' and using the 1 second set up is not an issue.
@vincenzodimaro6045
@vincenzodimaro6045 Жыл бұрын
@@TheStopHunter We have different views really! If you’re using those like candles then using candles directly ia more accurate process as renkos can give you a lot of fake directions with hogher time frames. If you’re using the same strategies with 1 sec time frame then it’s exactly what i was saying
@TheStopHunter
@TheStopHunter Жыл бұрын
@@vincenzodimaro6045 No problem having different views, I actively encourage it. What works for one might not necessarily be for the other.
