i think they are overpaying for sure. the design are very basic. you can do alot more with $130k. and $50k, you can DIY alot of things yourself. they overpaid for all the furnitures too. definitely not a good example

Not sure why they are giving excuses like time/quality (almost every other channel can show affordable reno). But in all honestly it's essentially a 28-min ad, so of course they are going to promote the most expensive sponsored items since it's most worth for themselves. Usually I just mute the video and watch, it's more bearable this way.

I think the cost of removing the old tiles and fixtures is also quite hefty. Renovating a resale flat is not cheap as compared to BTO.

I dont think its too overly priced for this reno though, gotta note that they have to hack all and redo every parts of the house from ceiling works, all tile flooring and the walls are mainly feature wall or carpentry works. Even if they decided to go everything "China" with a contractor, it would probably still cost $100k ngl. I'd rather pay $130k to stay in a home i know i can be comfortable in for many years to come, than getting a new bare 3 room flat.

Nah. Not 'almost' even. Not even close! These people live in an HDB flat, not even private property - that's normal where they are living. Nowhere near 'rich and famous' who live in mansions and have multiple maids and cars.

Why do u need to touch the pipes during maintenance?

@@dreaming765 if I recall, when I order a chemical cleaning for my air conditioner, the technician was dismantling a part of the piping for the service. Just wondering how does this works if it's concealed. Maybe you can enlighten me on this.
