ABOUT US:
Hello! I’m Vivienne, the châtelaine of a small 19th century neo-Renaissance castle in the Loire Valley of France, which I share with my delightful husband, Simon, our daughter, and -whenever possible- lovely friends and family.
This is not our first chateau! 23 years ago, we bought a much larger castle nearby, which we loved with all our hearts. However, nearly 2 decades, many happy memories, countless renovations, and several small fortunes later, we made the very difficult, empty-nesting decision to downsize. With great luck and perseverance, we found our current petit château, which we are now decorating and updating with love, humour, comfort, and -of course- antiques and art!
We adore France and its many unique facets: its people, culture, landscapes, wine, food, art, and history. We also love being surrounded by châteaux, both public and private, which we can explore together! After 20 years here, we have learned many things about living in France, renovating châteaux, and appreciating the extraordinary riches surrounding us. We originally decided to make these videos as a way to share our lives with our loved ones worldwide during the pandemic lockdowns. However, we soon realised that many others are at home alone, and it is our privilege to open our home to you, our new friends. We hope you will join us on our adventures in this exceptional location, and we look forward to sharing a little Château Love!

Dear Simon and Vivienne You pulled out all the stops for Stephen and Sarah. I’m sure the two of them were over the moon. After 20 years, you’re so right about it needing to be feted. And you didn’t miss a beat! Vivienne- you have such a good eye for absolutely everything. Really, Sarah is so thrilled with that unique ring Stephen gave her. There was so much to grab one’s attention, I had to watch this twice. 😊 By the way, you not only have an awfully talented daughter, who seems very mellow whatever is going on, she seems very sweet as well. OMG, Vivienne, that was amazing!❤❤❤ I have a huge smile on my face right now. I don't know where to begin. It was delightful from beginning to end. Your rug collection is gorgeous. I finally stopped counting or trying to pick my favorite. The preparation and execution of the party was flawless. The brocante shopping was fortuitous for many. I do so love that little pink chandelier.❤ I hope Isabella loves it too. That was an interesting ring choice. The sentiment behind the design conveys something a diamond solitaire, prong set on a platinum band, doesn't say. It's quite an unconventional choice and seems totally appropriate for Sarah.👍 I'm glad to hear that Steve survived his fall without serious injury. I was relieved to hear that he escaped having his head shaved just before the wedding. Did Lancelot attempt to woo any local bitches chez vous? That's one amorous little dog. I had a neighbor with a Dalmatian like that. He had a little boy on the ground, screaming his head off. I said, 'Dude, something is wrong with your dog. He's frightening all the neighbor kids.' They got him fixed and he wasn't as bad. It's a bit of a blessing that Lancelot is so small, he's not as intimidating as a Dalmatian. All I have to say is, bitches better beware! That was a sweet acknowledgment that Isabella gave you.❤ it was obviously a massive organizational effort, complete with a server and I assume some help in the kitchen too. It was really lovely.🥂🍾 Bravo, Vivienne! The table was so pretty. The mixture of desserts with festive garnishes looked both fun and delicious. Simon, what a treasure.❤ Need I say more? I don't know how you're going to top that one. Perhaps for Stephanie and Philip nuptials. They're pretty unconventional too. I suspect that you'll rise to the occasion.🤞 Loved the jewelry choice, Simon's photos and the Jean d'Arc print. There's no shortage of cool stuff in your shop. You have exquisite taste.👏 All of that was after my first viewing. Can you imagine how much I enjoyed that? ❤ from TX!
