I got this choke on a 280 lbs 6'3 beast last week. Thanks. Started from a failed arm triangle... then boom.. did the backwards Ezekiel :)

Old Judo choke. Pretty standard, but sneaky! I haven't seen it from the armbar, but North-South, sidemount, guard, etc.

Ezekiel choke doesn't have your hand inside your sleeve, but yeah its basically the same thing.

I am 72 kg and sparr with guys who are at least 82 kg and up. When I catch an arm often they muscle out of it, but when I catch a neck with this one they are always done.

looks like a darce but without the arm then you use the Ezekiel type grip to replace the shoulder that would be on top of his neck in a normal darce

Yes your OWN sleeve is legal not your opponents sleeve. Also you cannot grab the inside of your opponents gi pants.

Because not everybody likes to remember Japanese Long ass names who nobody can or want to understand, I know this technique comes from Judo, but Plastic Bag Choke is easier to understand

With all respect to Gracie family and their legacy , i have a question about this technique : it's undoubtedly very effective and applicable move by jiu jjitsu rules ( with Gi suits ) . But , how would you apply this movement in some " real life conditions " : let's say summertime - short sleeve shirts or situation , let's say , on the beach - no shirts at all ? BRGDS

you use a no gi technique for no gi. there are many chokes without the jacket, homie. this is just one with the jacket.

@G Q He's probably asking for the same reason I was a year ago. I wanted nothing to do with the Gi. Simply because you don't walk around in a gi on the streets. I wanted everything to apply to RL ( With the understanding that most people are wearing T shirts or other items that rip very easily). So my initial thinking was getting into no-gi and start training reality immediately. And I'm still confused as to whether or not I should just continue no-gi :(
