Everyone rose to the challenge here. Just brilliant. A story I haven’t told before. On the day John Lennon was killed, I was a law student far from home sitting in the living room of the house I was renting. The news came on the radio while I was studying, and it was crushing. As a tribute, the radio station started playing some Beatles songs and finished up with this medley. As I sat there, crying, the closing lyrics played, “And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.” It actually brought me out of my funk as it calls all of us to share more love to others and promises us that we receive back love in return. No more, no less; it’s an equal exchange. I found that comforting and encouraging. I was very pleased to hear it again tonight. It is still an encouraging and comforting lyric. Share the love, folks.

I just listened to this again and, again, it leaves me speechless. Growing up in mid America USA and listening to The Beatles on the radio and then with records was a formative experience in the 1960's. To hear you guys play their stuff just blows my mind, and not just The Beatles, but anything you play is just pure amazement. You ALL have what we call in the music business the "It" factor. I have been around musicians my whole life, growing up trained in music as well as my older brother. A cousin was in the 1st original prog rock band, "Kansas." We saw them rehearse a few times. The point being, there are many good and very talented musicians that come and go, but very rarely are those who have that extra little spirit thing that puts them at the top.....and ALL of you have that "it" factor in spades. My god. Just truly exceptional and overjoyed to hear such incredible talent and, to top it off, to hear such great classic songs done with such power, grace, intelligence and , dare I say it, perfection. I am truly glad to have been exposed to you all. You have added to my life's pleasure. Keep jammin', keep rock'n, keep the light bright and stay safe always.

A side effect of any great cover (like this one!!) is that you suddenly have a much deeper understanding and respect for the original. The Beatles were such great innovators of music, had such a high level of musicality, that you almost tend to underestimate just how great their abilities actually were. They made it sound easy, they were so coherent musically. To pull off a cover of this amazing piece is just plain astonishing.
