This makes Gary Richrath a legend and still the best guitarist of all time in my book that I've ever heard play. The crowd definitely loved him in Golden Country here! I've heard the so-called greatest duplicated, but never Gary! R.I.P. Gary! Keep Rockin' the Heaven's!!!

Ran into this concert today and even though i saw REO live three times from the late 70s through early 80s I still can't get over how talented Gary Richrath was. I think its his ability to play such expansive melodies while burning up the fret board on his Les Paul as most really fast shredders give little in the way of melody. Regardless, he certainly delivers a top notch, high energy performance in this concert! Rest in peace Gary Richrath, you are gone but certainly not forgotten...

Lots of memories here. I saw them for the first time just a few months after this, with Molly Hatchett opening, and again a few years later with Cheap Trick. The '78 show was by far the best, before the radio friendly b.s. Gary was a master of his Les Paul and could hold his own, even blow away, most guitarists of that era. 'Live-You Get What You Play For' is a must listen for anyone who wants to witness what this band could do when they were straight up rock&roll. RIP, Gary. You were the best.
