I’d love to see a red fabric handle with a dragon or flower pattern using clear epoxy. That would be beautiful. Have u ever considered engraving your name on the handle? U may not have forged the blade but u did restore it and created the handle.

@ Loli4lyf - Is it a sword tho? The description says knife? I’m not saying that he should engrave the blade or knock off any maker’s mark, just add his name to the part of the knife that he created, the handle. It’s his artwork and it wouldn’t seem right to attribute credit for it to the person who originally forged the blade.

Agreed about handle especially when its tang was exposed to be healthy, and I wondered to see its kydex sheath....
@chat73234 жыл бұрын
The handle he made is made of ″SILK BELTS". From what I saw, it was a high-grade OBI belt with gold and silver threads. In modern Japan, Kimono, which has few wearers, may be a luxury material that can be obtained at a low price. I'm taking off my hat for Chokkun's idea.
i cant decide whether i love the original handle or the new handle better.. both. both is good. the original handle was also really nice and unique. the new handle gave a new life into the restoration. my question is.. does he repurpose the handle for another project? or does he just have a bunch of knife handles in a bin somewhere in his workshop? because i really like the original handle.
