I agree completely! Smoothie is one of the best graphite artists that I've seen. If you haven't checked out the Patreon page, do yourself a favor and check it out.

I just finished a castle on hp wc paper. I love the texture it gives to stone. Used mostly bic mechanical pencils and a couple of Steadlers. Found out it's easy to gouge this paper. But it still worked out. Thank you for being there for us!

This is a beautiful drawing as always with great advice, probably the best ever and rather wonderful Thst you spoke so honestly about what went wrong and how you remedied it, this is the most important part of this video and the most important lesson. Can you do a step by step video on how to make the leaf texture on trees, I use the foliage method but I can get the texture or the 3D effect that you can get in your drawings.

Hope you read this sir. i dont really figure out whats wrong with my drawings. i came back drawing a week ago because im so inspired to you. but sir i dont know if the pencil or the paper is the problem. what paper are you using. i cant shade very well. i cant create good tones.tnx

Please excuse me from stepping in here, but really you should join Jon on patreon, when I joined him a little over two years ago I hadn’t drawn in over fifty years, I wasn’t great to start with but with his excellent teaching and advice I have improved beyond all recognition and you can too, everyone on there is supportive and encouraging it is the nicest kindest environment in which you can learn to create wonderful pieces of art, and don’t doubt that you will . I will tell you something last December I completed one of Jons tutorials and uploaded it for everyone to see, at first they thought I had posted Jons drawing lol, you say you can’t reach his level, I don’t think I have yet , but I’ve turned into a very good graphite landscape artist, with Jons teaching everyone can, so please join us and be prepared to be amazed at what you can accomplish

Could you put your microphone closer or talk a bit louder. I find it difficult to hear you unless I have headphone, earbuds or if my house is quite. Thank you!
