Repair Leaky Seitz Dometic Hinged Escape Hatch RV Skylight

In this video, I explain how I repaired a leaky hinged type escape hatch skylight from Seitz Dometic in my Sprinter Class C roof by working from the inside, removing the trim and tightening down the skylight mounting clamps with a few noteworthy and necessary modifications.
If you have this type of skylight hatch in your rig, you will want to watch this video as your skylight may not be as securely attached as you think and will eventually spring a leak.

Thanks, Paul I followed your video and the leak stopped completely. Until I watched this video, I had redone the caulking several times and the leaking had not stopped completely. Thank you from Japan.

I have a 2017 Mercedes Sprinter/Thor that has the exact same leaking problem. I tried patching it from the outside with no luck. With your guidance, I will try your method and hope it works. Thanks for posting this, the leak was driving me crazy. I tightened down the brackets and put it back together. Waiting on a good rain to see if it worked.

I am in Ireland and have same window only in a touring caravan. Found a slight drip, so was planning sealing outside, but did some searches and found your video , so decided to check it out, none of the clips was as loose as yours, but i got quite a bit of turns on each screw. Been lots of rain here so went to check today, and no drips ,cannot see any damp on the roof section so obv just started , But that saved me a bit of work.
