Thanks Bob. After the bathroom remodel was done and I was cleaning up I dropped my drill and of course it poked a hole in the tub. I thought I was gonna have to replace the tub. This did the trick. I watched a bunch a videos and this was the clearest simplest easiest to follow.

Thanks a lot, we used your excellent tutorial for our Cramer chip repair (bone) kit (bought at home depot) and it came out great! we used an old credit card instead of laminate sample. The tape really helped. We used orange oil to remove the mixture that got on our fingers, came off in 2 seconds.

All us “frugal” or just super cheap dudes were all over that “free disposable puddy knife comment!!!! All of a sudden you’re going to be seeing several guy’s carrying out those laminate samples for the shop!!! LMFFAO! Well sir, what color laminate are you thinking about? Well, to tell you the truth she’s just all over the place and just has a hard time nailing it down so I’m going to need one of each color… that’s right son, all the color’s! Maybe two of them just so I can keep a set for when she loses her copies so she’s not back here bothering you with it!!! LMFFAO! 😂😂👍. I’m a big fan of laminate and I just love tossing in some cabinets and a little folding table in a laundry room or a little desk area and with the right router bit it’s super fast and looks clean and good and it’s pretty cheap and easy to use too

Yeah man you definitely got it done! I use a little plastic cup like the food delivery restaurant down the street puts the ranch dressing in…I just go grab a couple from my buddy over at his restaurant and have some lunch so he’s happy to give me a couple… I usually use a little bit more harder so it’s kicking fast and it’s hard and ready but if you find that it’s going slow then add the hot blast from the hair drier to help it kick and hardened up for you! I usually put the tape back and sand then I can watch the depth and stay just on top of it…. I usually use the “The Works” or another acid based dollar store brand toilet or bathroom cleaner to get it super clean then I’ll repair it and then I use a automotive cutting compound super light cutting compound and my buffer and I’ll wax it back up and those little repair’s disappear behind the shine! LMFFAO! You can use an acrylic cleaner and polish and get a good result to…

Great video! I have a crack on the fibreglass (or is it acrylic, not sure, looks like plastic for me but I am not a specialist). I dropped a heavy plastic container with 5 l of water in it and the bath cracked (not the plastic container!). It is 3 X 4 cm - it is a total area to repair. The crack is deep so the water can run through it. I am in doubts which product to chose to repair, the one like you show in the video or the one with a fibreglass cloth patch?

My first attempt didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. Ordered white, but should have got bone. Color doesn't match. Also, on one of the damaged areas, the sanding removed too much of the material. Waited over 3 hours. Used 5 drops of hardener. Thinking b/c of the temp, I should have used 4? I have to decide what I'm going to do. Order bone color, file it down and redo, or just redo bad area again with the remaining product I have and live w/ the color mismatch.

Any idea what I could use to colour it pink as our damaged shower tray is a dusky pink colour?? TIA!!
@funbro12 жыл бұрын
What I have done in the past for enamel touch up paint for tubs is to go to the paint department and pick a like color of paint and tell the person that works the paint department to mix that color for you in a sample size, BUT instead of putting the tint(colorant) into the container I get them to put it on a piece of cardboard. Now I have all the colors I need to make the touch up at least closer if not exactly the same color as my tub. I’ve done this many times with touch up paint so I don’t see why it would not work for this repair kit. The hard part is talking to someone in the paint department that will actually do this type of thing for you because it requires thinking outside of the box. They will try to tell you that it will not work and I can tell you that it does work for the little touch up containers that they sell. Hope this gets you in the right direction, thanks for watching.

What is the grade of soft and hard sand paper? Thanks
@funbro1 Жыл бұрын
I would go with a 400-600 wet/dry paper. This kit came with some paper. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

I noticed a very small hairline crack in the tub, will this method still patch the crack ?
@funbro13 жыл бұрын
It is meant to repair chips, I don't think it will help a crack because the crack will just keep moving as the tub flexes. Thanks for watching.

“Would have” is past tense which tells me you have not watched the video or you would have seen what product was used in the video starting at :43. Hope this helps.
