We should not take our true scholars for granted nor the knowledge that ALLAAH has bestowed upon them. May ALLAAH guide us all and have mercy on the scholars of the past and preserve the scholars who are with us still, so we can benefit from them.

Assalamualaikum, the following report is being used by extreme sufis to "prove" their deviancy.... Ibn al-Mubarak said: One of the Ansâr narrated to us from al-Minhal ibn 'Amr that the latter hears Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib say: "Not one day passes except the Prophet's Community is shown to him morning and evening. He knows them by their marks [or names] and their actions, thereby giving witness concerning them. Allah said: {But how (will it be with them) when we bring of every people a witness, and We bring you (O Muhammad) a witness against these?} (4:41). - Narrated by Ibn al-Mubarak in al-Zuhd (p. 42), Ibn Kathir (asmâ'ihim instead of sîmâhum) in his Tafsir (1:500), al-Qurtubi in al-Tadhkira (1:335), Ibn Hajar (asmâ'ihim instead of sîmâhum) in Fath al-Bari (1959 ed. 9:99), and al-Mubarakfuri (asmâ'ihim instead of sîmâhum) in Tuhfa al-Ahwadhi (8:300). Is it authentic? Please I need help with this

Wa alaikum salam that above is not evidence for Istigatha It's about the day of judgement when after everyone deeds has been compiled Muhammad S.A.W will be called to witness for Muslims as his followers like other Prophets will be called to witness for people who followed them in their time. The references are in Surah An-Nisa 41,and Az-Zumar 69,and An-Nahl 89,

As for the statement "No one day passes except Prophet community is shown to him day and night" i couldn't find it anywhere not in ibn Kathir abriged vol 2, pg.463 and neither in refrenced Fath Al 8:712 where the tasfir are.
