I understand your sentiment.

The fact that you want to get better is most important. We all fall short which is why we have a Savior. The Lord looks upon weakness different than rebellion. Strive to be better and do your best, but allow the Savior and His gospel to be part of your growing process. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you. They want you to succeed. You were not sent here to fail, but to be tried and tested. None of us are perfect. Be in competition with yourself to get better and be sure not to compare yourself to others.

What you're missing and what this talk fails to cover is that "if any person be in Christ, they are a new creature, all old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new, and all things are of God, Who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given unto us the ministry of reconciliation". - 2 Corinthians 5:17-18. So this Verse and also Romans 6 explains that all who are baptised and have The Holy Ghost are new creations and "dead to sin but alive to righteousness" therefore they need only renew their minds and be courageous, keeping all the other Commandments in The Bible and Book of Mormon and then are they perfect and walking even as Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith restoed The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and that it is His Church and He will never leave nor forsake His Church but it seems you are all missing key truths (including the leaders of the Church) such as that The Laws of Scripture are not passed away such as abstaining from unclean foods, blood, keeping The Biblical Feasts instead of the pagan ones (Christmas and Easter). But I think The Church is making a huge error where you all seem to be focusing on yourselves and not realising you're already complete in Christ and should be ministering to the lost; those demon possessed, broken, seeking God in false and dead churches etc. I don't think the missionaries are enough to do this work and that more members of the Church should be involved in ministering to the lost sheep of The House of Israel. Even so thanks be to God that all who are part of The Church of Jesus Christ have Eternal Life and so long as such endure to the end we shall be saved.

You are worthy of His gift. That's His whole message. Remember that it's Satan that puts those thoughts in your mind to stop you from coming unto His open arms. Run to the savior. He is only waiting for you. He loves you!
