Hey, thanks for the video! Would you happen to know if the regular Kia Spectra has the same o2 sensor as the EX? I'm assuming so, either way I bet they're in the same place at least.

Howdy! I can't say for sure, but I assume so. If you go online to AutoZone or O'reilly Auto Parts you could cross check parts between the two models.

So my check engine light came on then it started stalling on me a little. Auto parts store told me it was the 02 sensor I hope they are right.

I just replaced my upstream o2 sensor on my 2007 kia spectra ex and I'm still getting a p0420 code, it's a 180 dollar sensor too so that sucked buying it to have it not help at all.

Truly The first thing was that I wasn’t getting as great of gas mileage. Very significant loss (I use a fuel app to track all that). Then the check engine light came on. After having it checked for free at Autozone they said it was one of the oxygen sensors. Price wise, the upstream sensor was cheaper so I started there. Light went away but then it came on again several months later. Turns out the one I bought on eBay was crappy (it was very cheap). Had to invest in the OEM replacement which I found on eBay but for about $120.

N'haatik Check Engine Light code . My wife has the same car and the code reads bank one sensor one. And I’m pretty confident it is the same one since it has. Only one exhaust.

Nelag Mine did. If it doesn’t you could probably go to a local auto parts store and have them reset it and see if it stays off.

@@epperton ok. I did mine yesterday morning but it still hasnt turned off yet and its making me anxious lol. How long did yours take to turn off? Thanks for replying!!

Nelag In my case it only took a short drive around if I remember right. Also the code on the check engine reader said it could be upstream or downstream for me. Thankfully it was just the upstream. Another thing to think about is that the first time I did it I bought a really cheap part off eBay and it went bad after several months. It wasn’t until I got the OEM part from Kia where it lasted and hasn’t caused me any issues since. I would drive it a little more and then take it over to an auto parts place to rescan it. @@epperton ok thanks!! The part I got is from NAPA auto parts, $79. Hopefully its a good one. Ok I will take your advice and drive it a little more and wait and see. Quick question, if I check it with a scanner should the problem still show up on it or nothing shows up even though the light is still on?

Nelag not sure on you question. I think it would still show up if the light was still on.
