Yeah? You should try to replace the thermostat on the Zetec Focus. You have to remove the alternator with the belt because it blocks one screw in order to remove the intake, which is necessary since the thermostat housing is underneath and between the alternator and the intake. Also note here that it doesn't have a tensioner, so you need a special tool to tension the belt afterwards. Also you have to remove the injector rail, and the vacuum hoses to reach it. Fuck ford.

OK thanks, The nut on the top right of the pedal is the hardest to remove among the three pedal nuts. If you used a ratchet, socket and extension in the very tight area around the nut, then you have a lot of skill.

@@liythalhamzah8289 yes, you just need to persevere, think it was 10mm, took me an hour to change. Car is 2007, and filter was black, dont think it has ever been changed, although Ford had charged for replacement 2 years previous.

Ano. Focus C-max to má stejné. Dělal jsem to dnes. Akorát nečekejte, že to půjde tak rychle, jako v tom videu. Je vidět, že v okamžiku, kdy vkládá novy filtr, je tam strih. Protože to tam dával určitě tak 20 minut. Aspon mi to tak dlouho trvalo, než jsem ho tam narval. A dost jsem ten novy poničil. Musel jsem to tam narvat úplně na sílu. Když odmontuju plynový pedál, tak tam ještě překáží pedál brzdy a sloupek řízení a nevim co všechno mi tam ještě překáželo. Neni tam ani vidět, natož tam tak hýbat rukama. Blbější místo pro ten filtr už nemohli vymyslet. A být třičtvrtě hodiny zkroucený v prostoru pro nohy před sedadlem řidiče je taky lahůdka. To je tak pro někoho, kdo váží 50 kilo. Bylo to trápení.

No. It is much easier because you just remove 7 torx screws, then you remove the glove compartment and its door (it is snap on), unsnap the leveling lever, and then you remove the safety fuse box underneath and its metallic holder,. In total you remove 7 torx, two nuts and three screws more that holds the filter cover in place. You can easily do it in 20 minutes. It is easier because you have easy access to everything. Plus the screws that hold the pedal down are tight till the end. It is really painfull to remove the pedal, takes a LOT of time.

Imagine removing the pedal only to find out that one of the screws for the filter cover is striped and you need an extractor! This is what happened to me today fixing a friends car. After we finished (yes we didnt change the filter)... guess what? The hood stuck closed! Funny huh?
