The way you're torqing the head down is not a good way to do it. You work in a circle pattern from the center out and you're going from the outside in I guess like star pattern I'm guessing. All you're doing is tightening the outside first and then when you get to the middle you're increased the gap for another potential leak. Kind of like if you were to nail a carpet down in your house and you start on the outside edges to work your way to the middle you'd end up with a bulge in the middle. No valve adjustment?

I have a Yanmar 2202D. Cooling system froze over the winter. I've replace the water pump and a freeze plug so far. Now it is leaking anti-freeze out of the top rear of engine. I think I need to replace my first head gasket. Thanks for the video.

Lol I dropped a rod just like you on my YM1500 but got it out with one of them long spring things with the magnet on the end. Got head gasket doing good then injector pump went out.

I don’t understand why people on KZfaq don’t degrease stuff before pulling them apart. Especially pulling engines down.

You should do valve lash . never trust it head gasket thickness will change the lash

I have a yanmar 2000 i see little puffs of smoke coming out of the seem at the head now its hard to crank will a head gasket fix it

They got to be torque right on a desiel your dealing with alot of compresion I use little oil on threads of the head bolts and I put them on the bolt without the head see if there any ruff spot in the threads because that will give you a false reading

Al was srart inthe middle bolts a d work your way out on head bolts

I wish you could show how to adjust the governor

All it takes just a bit of old gasket left to mess a head gasket job up they might did that to
