Don't bother to secure the box to the stud.

Left the poly and installed a rubber boot for no reason and cut more out for an access panel. Cut it shorter and then install trim around it so you don't have an access panel

The id of those pex fittings is 3/8th of an inch. Laundry should get 3/4" pipe.

i never understood why they made these laundry boxes just one time use only, with NO access to the piping below the valves. Sooner or later they will eventually need to be replaced, and 99% of the time, you gotta cut the drywall, but why make it that way? wouldn't it better if the laundry valve box was a bit bigger down below so you get about 5-6 inches of piping below? i hate how you gotta cut the drywall every time when replacing the valves first time

To this day its so alienating and ridiculous for me as a European how Americans use hot and cold water for their washing machines, because its so weird for me that on US WM does not have their own heating element inside like washers elsewhere in the world have. You just hook the thing onto cold water and the thing heats its own water. What does American do if their boiler is broken and they dont have hot water? Is their washing machine doesnt work then? Its so weird for me.
