That was JUST WILDLY GROOVY. When you sped up the recording of the pool's removal, the music you set it to took me back to my old days of playing "Command and Conquer") and "Dune II" before that. (In both games, you build bases with various machines.) Compliments on the cinematic experience you created with the photography. Plus, I know just a bit more about construction and your machines. I remember a guy in Texas who did pool liners he was one of the best in the business and we went out and serviced one of these pools I forget the name of them but I can tell you they were one of the best built in ground vinyl liner pools ever made. The one we worked on was over 30 years old and held water just fine it was missing some of the metal tiles that snapped in over the top Edge. But we managed to have some fabricated and put the full back in working order with no problem whatsoever. Please stay safe and stay well and as always God bless

Another great vid, Andrew. Thanks. I'm about 50 miles north of you. I would've liked to at least seen the backfilling around the new pool. We bought our place 10 years ago that came with a 17x33 inground vinyl liner. We love it and trust me, if you do some research you'll find they definitely aren't the money-pits they're made out to be. That said, apparently the ground wasn't allowed to settle properly and the concrete apron has settled pretty badly over the years. I've had a slab-jacking outfit come in and somewhat level it out with mixed results. But it'll need to replaced at some point. My understanding is the backfill needs a full season exposed to the weather to fully settle, before putting any surface down.

ChuckD59 When I was in college I worked for a concrete company that specialized (due to demand) in replacing flat work around 4 or 5 year old homes in a town that was growing exponentially. Builders would backfill and pour sidewalks and patios over unsettled dirt. Everything pitched to the houses within a few years. The dirt has to be continually compacted as it’s back filled. Most don’t do it right.
