Thank you!!! My daughter gave me her old laptop and I am going to upgrade it myself. I have purchased the SSD (Samsung 870 1TB) and after watching the video, I have decided to wait until I can get the memory upgrade so I can repair all at once. Unfortunately, I also have to figure out how to get her documents and operating system off of the old hard drive, as it appears to be damaged. Your video has helped me a lot! I am 73, and as a single mom of 3, I had to do almost EVERY repair inside the house and car myself. This should be a piece of cake!!

I have i questions, instead of removing hdd and replacing that with ssd. can we keep the hdd and remove the disk drive and add ssd to that slot? (idk about the ports and etc i just wanna know if it possible)

www.ebay.com/itm/285269675659 . Is this what your asking? This will replace your CD / DVD Drive with an adapter to install a SSD / HD. Me personally would just go with one big SSD in the main port, they are cheap enough!

Hi there, I have a question regarding the RAM of my DELL Inspiron 15 3552 Laptop. I'm unsure about the appropriate RAM type for this laptop. According to the Task Manager, it shows DDR3, but on Dell's website, the RAM specifications indicate DDR3L. I'm wondering which one is accurate. I'm considering upgrading the RAM. SSD will make the biggest improvement. But also memory is very cheap right now and since you have it apart if you have a few extra $$ then makes sense to do at same time!

@@bidhan_niroula Wouldn't recommend those off brand ssds. Maybe a slightly used one on ebay or amazon? Western Digital, Samsung, kingston also good.

8GB (Max) PC3L-12800S (DDR3-1600) • CL=11 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 204-pin • 1.35V. It's important that it PC3L (They make regular PC3 that slightly higher voltage). Since it only has one slot you have to get just one 8GB Stick. Here is a link to one on eBay for a good price (Usually you can pick one up for $20-$25). www.ebay.com/itm/115291604500 . So I have this same laptop and I turned it on and it had no display on it started beeping 4 or 5 times I didn’t let it keep going what can be the problem I can not find any videos I just bought it 2 weeks ago

@@1800johan_ The hard drive contains all of your Operating System, programs, files, etc. After you replace the drive you can either clone the data from your old drive, or better to reinstall Windows 11 from a USB drive.
