Are the crank seal the same on the 3400 3700 or Craftsman 3.7/18 as the SKF 6120?

I now know that I can get the bearings. It was a misunderstanding. I have begun porting it and looks to be some HUGE opportunities for power gains. The numbers were atrocious! The intake was opening at 66⁰! Truly horrible.

From what I'm seeing, it should be a massive improvement. The stock timing numbers are TERRIBLE! Only 132⁰ of intake duration. Should be closer to 156⁰. That's a big difference.

The 3.7 is almost as rare as the 4000. I've heard those were actually the best ones to have.

I hate these designs.

I was surprised to find a hole directly into my crankcase right at the bottom of the crank. Closer inspection revealed that it was for the oil pump. I hadn't even thought about the oil pump being operated by a diaphragm. I just had mine all apart and cleaned it up. I betcha you could easily disassemble and clean it. Probably fix it right up. Mine was all kinds of gunked up.

I have not. I feel like the LRB pistons are clearly of a lower quality. The aluminum is soft and the casting marks are sharp, but I have never had one fail. But if there is a different option, I take it.

@@novicelumberjack thanks man appreciate it I have a craftsman 3.7 poulan 3700 I need rings and a piston for it's not scored up just worn out and I broke the rings doing a base gasket delete lol I was not being easy after getting pissed off to get the cylinder to go on for awhile 😂😂
