I can’t believe how easily those leaf spring bolts came out! I have a 99 3500, and they were so rusted in I had to cut all of them out with the saws all. Thanks for doing this video, I’m about to put in the new springs and it was very helpful.

I have a 96 explorer, I spent like 1/2 day on the rear shackle didn't budge. I have impacts. Then I bought it to a SPRING place where they do heavy trucks. He played with it with an impact and air hammer for like 30 min. Ended up cutting everything out. Salt belt :lol:. The rubber bushing I think was absorbing the impacts. He said if he heats things it is going to cook the bushing, either way everything is getting replaced.

Get you a Milwaukee Electric Impact and it will break those bolts right off if they refuse to move! You will be walking around looking for stuff to take loose for the heck of it.

Also is that 2500? Those springs look thicker then the 1500.

My truck is a 1500. They had one more leaf than the originals.

Those fucking rear shackle bolts are the worst i have a 1999 dodge ram 2500 and my leaf spring broke so I have to replace it if I would have known I had to drop the tank too I wouldn't have filled it up lol it is what it is I guess might sifen it off and put it in some jugs but this whole job is a bitch tbh lol

If I remember right, I think the bend of the fill tube to the fuel tank makes it a bitch to syphon it. Seems like I tried it before. Yours might be different. Anyway. Good luck and thanks for watching
