Answer 1: You are just copying the serial number form old to new. Unless you can do micro-soldering the firmware chip for touch id is located on the old button. There are some videos that shows how to do it. Based on experience, copying the serial number will make the new button a bit stable when pressing the button. I also would suggest adding the jc-flex cable. I do have the video, and explained why I strongly suggest adding the flex cable. Answer 2: Each buttons are uniquely paired to each iPhones. How🍎do it is to replace the whole screen assembly and they use a proprietary software to reprogram the new screen. This is similar to battery replacement on iPhone XR and above where you literally have to take the BMS flex from the old battery and transfer to the new battery. Even worse if you want to replace an iPhone 11, 12 Series battery besides from taking the BMS flex you have to have the add-on flex to reprogram the battery health percentage. 1. do a backup first of your device 2. try doing a reset of settings. Go to Settings, General, then Transfer or Reset iPhone, then Reset, then choose RESET ALL SETTINGS. 3. Try it out and let me know how it goes. 4. Did you have the screen recently replaced?

There are times that when u dont copy the serial number the button does not function or when u press it is not doing what it suppose to do... when it comes to the touch id feature only apple can reprogram that feature

Nope, home button is paired to the motherboard that came with it… if u want a touch id to work to another board u need to to bring it to apple and have the display replaced and they have the software to re-serialize the home button. Hope it helps

Same functionality, as long as the button u purchase is a JC id home button… yes, touch id does not work. Based on using the Jc Home button… functionality is a hit or miss…

Unfortunately unless u are good with microsoldering you can connect the original flex to the jcid home button. Otherwise, uou have to have it fix thru the Big “A”

Even if you use an original home button coming from another device touch id will not work. Even the haptic response when you press the home button will not work. That's why I use a JC home button brand so atleast I have the haptic response. I have not tried other brands or class a home button

No need to jailbreak para sa home button… yung touch id bro mawawala talga kase serial number lang ang copy nung jc v1s may mapapansin ka sa home button flex mo na may chip siya dun nakastore ang properties ng touch id at only apple has the reprogramming tool for it to work. your other option is to slice the original flex cable and transfer it to a new jc home button kaso u need microsoldering… about dun sa face id talgang need i jailbreak siya para matransfer lahat ng serial numbers walang secure chip yung earpiece flex ng face id kaya posible na palitan ang earpiece flex without losing the face id function.

Hindi po. Home button po is paired with the logicboard. Saka po this fix is to help you use a new homebutton to have basic functions except touch id.

Dipende po sa location nyo po.. dito sa Canada sa mobilesentrix.ca po ako umorder.. make sure unorder the jc home button at jc home button flex para stable and home button. Also remember hindi na po mababalik yung touch id.

Sa aliexpress po ako bumibili. Macocopy po ang serial number pero since may encrypted chip yung home button hindi po gagana ang touch id.
