This part no. KSS-213B optic lense. It is the same one used on the Rotel RCD-991 CD Player.

Be useful if you could teach us the change the laser part on a portable sony which has grey areas and is not working - it's an excellent machine but the laser is dead - Thabks

This video is for the Sony CDP-CE375, would that laser unit be compatible with the one used in a Sony CDP-CE545 ?

why didnt u jist adjust the potentiometer on the side of lens? u could have saved money

When the laser goes bad is 10 to 1 that won't read fine readjusting the pots

Is the soldered jumper pretty standard on the Sony lasers? Looking at the instructions (thank you!), I think I could do a replacement, except I have no soldering tools. Maybe I could ask a friend.

That soldered jumper is to protect the laser from static so it needs to be removed

That is the same laser on my 70es. I’m not sure about the safety jumper. What was done?

I think your CDP-CA70ES use the laser kss-240 which is a little different, no interchangeable but I think you need to remove a solder jumper like this

Hi man, I changed the laser pickup on my 95 Sony player but it still stops and errors after reading the disc for 30 s. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? Thanks.
