I changed it for prevention (mileage 220,000 km), there were no problems, for example, with heavy steering or extraneous sounds, only the color of the old liquid was yellow-brown, and the color of the new oil was green. After replacing the hydraulic power steering fluid, I did not notice a big change in the operation of the rail.

Necessary tool for replacing the hydraulic fluid Audi A4B8:
- Torx T30 for unscrewing the hydraulic power steering tank and removing the headlights
- 2 jacks
- pliers/pliers for removing the clamp from the return hose
- hose with a diameter of 8-10mm
Procedure for replacing the hydraulic power steering fluid:
- remove the left headlight (optional, but it will be more convenient)
- unscrew the fasteners of the hydraulic power steering fluid tank (optional, but it will be more convenient)
- remove the clamp and remove the thin hose from the return
- drain the liquid from the tank and plug the tube, pour new liquid
- connect a hose with a diameter of 8-10 mm to the return hose
- turn the steering wheel (the ENGINE is NOT RUNNING) and watch how the old liquid drains
- monitor the liquid level in the tank, top up the new one
- when the liquid goes green - the replacement is completed, you can collect everything in reverse order.
- warm up the engine and monitor the level of the dipstick on the lid of the hydraulic power steering tank, depending on the temperature, if necessary - top up.
