Replacing your lightbulb with the Ensenior Thin LED Recessed Ceiling Light with Junction Box

Did you buy the highly-rated Ensenior Ultra-Thin LED Recessed Ceiling Lights? Not sure how to install them? This is your DIY video tutorial.
Please Note: I'm not a licensed electrician and any DIY electrical work should be inspected and/or monitored by a licensed electrician.

I think you had the two screw Romax cable clamp reversed. The two screws should be on the outside of the box instead of inside.

My construction friend installed them this way but perhaps they go outside. As long as the cable is securely held, should be good.

Saw a video where a guy using a hole saw would cut the hole with the drill in reverse. It prevented the teeth from grabbing the sheetrock and gave you better control and a smoother finish. Looked like it worked really good.

Did this guy just describe the green wire as a neutral? lol or is it just a mistake?

I misspoke as I was doing the wiring but connected the correct wires. Lol

do you know if we're able to unconnect the wires to the box? around 9:37 you say it will click, is there any way to yank it out or do we need to just cut and strip it again if we want to redo it?

Yes, you can pull them out but it does take some force as I've done so on one that had a faulty box. Best to cut and strip the wire after that for reinstallation.

How far apart did you go with for spacing between each Ensenior 6" light? Is the claim of 1050 lumens accurate per 6 inch light? Will a 6 1/8 hole saw work for installation or 6" better? Thanks

Spacing depends on the size of your ceiling but we did about 36 inches from each wall in a 12x12 room. 1050 lumens is accurate and a 6 1/8 hole should work since these have a lip around them if the hole is slightly bigger.

@@DIYMaistor Did you use a 6" hole saw and if so, was it a tight fit that needed any pushing of the fixture into the opening? Thanks

@@KefirTView 6", yes and it was tight so I had to use a drywall saw to expand it slightly. I'd recommend a 6 1/8 or 6 1/4 hole saw so it fits easier because you have to be able to pull it out so the retaining clips hold properly.

Old house, neutral is naked (no shielding or color)

@@DIYMaistor Neutral is white, ground is bare or green. You mixed up the terms neutral and ground. You got the wiring right; just called them the wrong thing.🙂
