Wasn't it a T-34? I've seen many replicas which are basically just a T-34 made to look kind of like a Tiger. You can see the gun length is different and the turret being too far forward to actually be a Tiger. This replica in the video is miles ahead of anything I've seen on the internet before.

they did make one for the movie Fury, where they had the actual Tiger 131 do some static shots, while they also had a T-55 Clad (i think made by Australia Armor and Cavalry Museum) in Tiger 1 shells, which gave them the shots they needed when the Tiger 1 was moving. though the cost of making one prop for a single film is very expensive.
@tomstamford6837 Жыл бұрын
@@nightshade4873 Not really. In Fury, they had mock ups of the upper hull for close-ups as well as interiors. It's not that hard or as expensive as you might think To build something out of fiber glass is not a difficult task, or even half a tank, portions, with the remainder to be filled using CGI. Or simply do all the exterior shots with CGI. A lot of films do that, even if the final product isn't great, a bigger budget film could get away with it. When you watch modern films with car chases along the streets with cars plowing into each other, flipping over, etc. That's all CGI. In many cases the results are so good you would argue it was real stunt driving with real cars.

Because the Tiger in 'White Tiger' wasn't a real Tiger. It was supposed a new prototype, that's why none of the captured Germans knew about it, and everyone spoke as if it was a phantom tank. The unrealistic sound effect when the Tiger fired it's gun was done intentionally, to show it wasn't a real tank, but rather a 'phantom' tank. It all gets explained in the film....

Kinda stupid, that means they would have to replace the tracks every now and then cause we all know how long "fix bearings" without lubication would last.... not very too long.
@lancelot19537 жыл бұрын
Jay McDaniel Hi Jay, good point. You have to understand that especially back then, the operating cost aka cost to sale ratio (man-hours, machining, raw material, assembly, etc.) of a weapon system was critical. You can see the difference of philosophy between Germans (i.e. over-engineering, quality, durability of "most" of their later tanks such as PzKpfw V & VI) and Russians (simplicity, ruggedness, quantity, ease of manufacturing, etc.) on the battlefield. Russians estimated that in battle, a tank would last ~10 hours so they favored numbers over durability/complexity. Track links were also easy to replace (i.e. cheap, expendable...). Have a nice weekend, Ciao, L
@xxstormxx19417 жыл бұрын
lancelot1953 Yeah I understand, yet was the Germans mistake for preferring quality over quantity and focused on trying to Better the earlier Panzers rather than spending so much on a clumsy heavy box with an 88mm anti air flak gun slapped in the nose of this thing.

In movie White Tiger they used Tiger (P) and it looks really bad :/
@jwewa9 жыл бұрын
that was not even a Tiger (P), it was a T-34-85 or so disguised as a Tiger I

your replica is the early Tiger Ausf. H from 1942 but still awesome work respect for that and very nice engine sounds greetings from germany :)
@richardhughes39332 жыл бұрын
This isn't a 1942 model Tiger; despite being gray not dark yellow, it's got the 'vision' cupola introduced into production in July 1943

I love both trains and armored vehicles. Some rail organizations have actually started to look into building working replicas of long gone steam locomotives from the ground up. If they could do that which is way more expensive and more time consuming and complex to build than why can't more armored vehicle enthusiasts or museums do the same for long gone tanks and other related vehicles? This Tiger replica is spot on and it won't be more taxing for the original one that's still running.

Смотрел этот фильм "белый тигр" очень классный, советую тем кому интересна военная тематика второй мировой. Не ожидал наткнуться на данное видео, больше всего удивило описание видео то что именно они создали реквизит для фильма
