Good People DAMN WELL KNOW BETTER. You never ever put anything of yours up for collateral unless you can just hand it over and never miss it. That's what Collateral is, a secured interest to cover a debt. If you assume someone else's debt, friend, family or a nobody you always get F**ked over cause they are criminals. Analogy is this, " If you can light Benjamin's on fire 25 in a row and not ever miss or care about it then you can do it. BUT, if you cannot then do not put your ass on the line for your asshole friend.

@@hothmandon A Bail Bond is not rehabilitation and can never be used as that. JAIL is for rehabilitation, but, most jailbirds have a high recidivism rate.

Feels I’d never put up my only means of transportation for someone else. I had a car run into the ground because someone decided they were gonna drive it 20k miles, with no maintenance, and they never paid me the money they owed me. So now what do you think I tell him when he asks me for something

What happens if the car gets auctioned for more the amount owed? Does the bail bondsman's get to keep all the extra money? So if the car is worth 10,000 and the bond is 2500.00 and the car auctions for 10,000 , does the bail bonds man gets to keep the 7500.00 in profit or does it go to the back to the owner of the car less bond amount. Or when you place your car up for collateral you just traded your 10,000 car for a 2500.00 bond.

I would had let him take my car. I would had ubered to that “friends” house. And chewed her a$$ out. Then would make her come up with a plan with in that time to come up with that money to get my car back. I try to be loyal to all my friends. But this is why I draw the line here. Not signing no one out. And not turning any of my property over for collateral. I will support you emotionally. Help you in other ways. But I work hard for what I have.

I totally understand that, but again, she signed the collateral papers for her car. The entire reason her friend was even able to be CONSIDERED to get out of jail was BECAUSE of the collateral car she put up. Had she not put up the car for collateral, no bail at all. See where I'm getting at? It's a fail safe in case they don't pay. Don't cosign for people you don't trust.

Sad, how good people try to help friends & family & lose their car like that. I always tell people never ever put up your own things for someone else bail. They will screw you in the end & not care. All they care about is getting out, once you put your own car up for their bail and they are free ...they will go right back to being worthless law breaking POS. You should never help someone get out of jail. Let them sit there & take the punishment for their crime

she didnt know how serious using her car for the payment was she thought it would only be taken if her friend didnt make the court date. this is why you read paper work people lol it can be summarized to you but sometimes people forget to mention some parts of the contract intentionally or unintentionally.

My Dad was So Smart, when I learned how to Drive, he told Me Never put your house keys on your Car Keys and always Carry an Extra Car Key in Your Purse. I would have got away, I always hv extra Car Keys in My possession. But I pay My Bills and Would not sign for No One. Thanks Dad LOVE & MISS YOU. Really like these Repo Videos, they teach you something.

Now what alot of people don't know is, that if you cosign for a bond and put your car up for collateral and is repossessed due to missing payments on that bond, you can have your name removed from the bond. Which in turn takes your car off as collateral. But you must present a good reason for your name to be removed.

i don’t understand why they can’t just turn in the fugitive to sit in jail to pay the bondsman for money lost,, whenever i got my bail revoked my co signer turned me in and i say in jail to pay off money owed
