People have been fooled all this time? I don't believe it. Did nobody see him walk? (Was he ALWAYS sitting down any time people saw him?) That alone should be quite the tip-off. I work in a nursing home/rehab center and the people who walk like that have had strokes and/or clearly have some level of dementia or other types of mental decline. That is not just a man walking. That is a man who has to TRY to walk.

He was well enough for the democratic primary in California for me to vote for him, 6 months later he had deteriorated far enough that I couldn't in good conscience vote for him so I didn't. He has now deteriorated so much that he needs to be in a senior care facility.

Dementia and Sundowner's Syndrome . . . They go hand-in-hand. I lived through this with my grandmother who had dementia after 4 pm it was downhill. Give Joe a year or two and he will show paranoia about people plotting against him . . . even his family members who he may or may not recognize as being in his family. My grandfather is 85. He takes care of my 82 year old grandmother who has dementia. He drives his boat and fishes, is an active member of his retirement community, and keeps a daily journal with immaculate handwriting. My other grandmother also has dementia.
