It would be better to remove most of that old soil though, before putting the plant into fresh soil. 🙃

I read that to remove old soil from the roots. But I see many people still keep clumps of it intact.

I agree, plus wouldn't compressing the soil restrict root growth and how well the water drains?

No, this is actually the correct method to avoid plant shock. If you remove all the old soil, the survival rate of plant is very low. I’ve tried both the methods and found this method to be highly effective.

Yes, need to remove the old soil using your fingers or maybe a toothbrush. Then put it into the new fresh soil ❤

compressing soil woudl suffocate it, make sure it has drainage holes and no roots poking out

He made a cast in the soilwith the original pot instead of dumping soul around the new one and just dropped umit in. I learned that years ago alot easier

Hey! Shake the pot upside down and gently tap it to help the soil come out.

Flex the side and kinda roll it around if it’s thin enough. Then don’t feel afraid to flip it and hold the base in the pocket between thumb and index finger. And then balance it and carefully remote the old container.

Hey! Will make a video soon on this Don't be too quick to repot them as soon as you come home, Transplanting into your new pot will just stress them out more and make it harder to give them the care they need.
